  1. Instead of starting a new thread, could someone answer a question on running a negative wire from front battery to back battery for ground; Can it run under the vehicle alongside and next to the positive run of wire from front to back? Not touching or anything, but just run along side by side with the positive cable run? Just curious if it would case any interference or problems. Thanks.

lol i dont think power can get interference lol only signals. And as long as both wires have that plastic coating (idk what its called lol) then yea they can touch just not wire to wire.

  2. Well it depends,

it most likely does do something, if the wall completely separates the two sides , ie:. no gaps, then it obvi seals the two side off from eachother, which is to give each subs its own individual air space. It makes it so if one sub blows, you can still play with the other, if the subs were not in separate chambers, you could not bump if one sub blew. well you could but it might risk straining the other sub and obvi in this scenario you would unhook/ disconnect the blown sub.

the other case is this: the wall does have a gap and does allow air to move through, then the wall is likely used for the box' port, which is extremely important and removing the wall is not reccomended and could damage your subs, or make them sound bad or a plethora of things may happen

in short, leave the wall/box as it sits, and if you want more boom, ported boxes will def help. as many have suggested, bite the bullet and build your own. even if its crappy when you finish, it will only cost 50 bux max. and you could redo it and STILL save money over buying one from a shop.

    good luck p4killer.

ps- sorry for the late reply btw

LOL yea I had already built the box by then LOL thanks tho!

  3. Fuck you all, I play on P.C, sooo much better. Faster reaction time, better aiming, better graphics, and no monthly payments :domodance:

awhitewookie-no prestige lvl 70(will when I get one more nuke for emblem) finished the 50cal(yes I know when I prestige there is a lot more)

PS3=no monthly payments... I bet my PS3 looks better than your computer on a 52" Sony Bravia LOL

plus PS3 games are made for the PS3 graphics, computer games are made for gaming computers running in the $1K range LOL, but back to MW2 I use the .50cal and can shoot faster than a person with a mod LOL plus I got the gold symbol and title for the .50cal

  4. Ok guys prepare to be like wtf lol. Sooo some friends came into town last night and I HAD to get out of the house lol so I kinda clear coated only the grille, symbol, and strip (I'll get some of the SEM for the brake lights since they're kinda important) and I waited 1-2 hours for the clear to dry, then I pulled my car out and noticed all the powder from the clear was on my car so I rinsed it off... Hopefully the clear was waterproof lol, but I put three coats on each and now its kinda like a matte black which honestly looks better than the glossy finish I wanted, and I know some of the clear is on it because the texture is different, but we'll see after I drive it for a while, so yea that turned out pretty good lol. The guys liked it and so did my dad and uncle and brother and an ass load of other people lol. They especially get a kick outta my subs too lol. And the brake lights, USE THE SPRAY ON TINT that I got if your thinking about it because when you spray it on it's DARK (after about 3 coats) and the brake lights still shine through!

  5. its kinda up to how many coats your looking for...probably could get 2 maybe 3 medium coats out of a 12 oz. can for all of that. if you can find the 15-16 oz. cans they sell, I dont think you'll have a problem.

damn well all the damn stores that sell SEM products closed at 1 P.M. how inconvenient. So I had to go with Some Rustoleum Clear Coat... the guy at auto zone said that's what he did with his brake lights (when he tinted them) and it's pretty much the same thing, UV protection and weather durable which is all I was looking for. Plus if it turns to shit I'll know who to yell at lol. Thanks for your help though I'll definitely go with SEM next time.

  6. it wont take that long to dry...full harden in about 48 hours but you can install it before that, just be careful with it. NAPA usually sells it, I always have to order it, but as for price its probably gonna be around 15-16 bucks a can. worth it IMO.

Yea lol you took a while to respond so I did some research and yeah it looks WAY better than duplicolor plus I went to the SEM website and it told me some stores that sell it nearby so I'll be picking some of that up instead LOL. Thanks a bunch man you probably saved me a bunch of money and quality lol. And yea money's no problem but you see the pics I posted above, do you think one can will cover all that? (and I'm clear coating the whole brake light)

  7. personally I wouldnt trust duplicolor for anything now...it tends to fade after a while from first hand experience. and that was not even in direct sunlight...I can only imagine what itll do then, but Id go with SEM. best spray cans you can get IMO.

Well how much is this SEM and can I get it at a retail store? Because I need to clear coat TODAY and I have to be able to get it TODAY lol if not duplicolor is the way I'll have to go.

EDIT: O and I kinda need this clear coat to dry in 24-30 hours if that's possible...

  8. Did you not install the HU? my alpine's remote wire is blue and it should be connected to the amp if it turns off/on with the HU or it'll be cut off it you have it wired to a switch. but honestly I can't see how that would be causing that... but no harm in checking...

  9. are the RCAs picking up interference? have you tried re-routing them somewhere else?

Other than that the only thing I can suggest is just making sure all the wires (if you think its the harness) go where they're supposed to go and check all the grounds...
