Hell yeah man. I can't wait to hear it.

Hella good track, but yeah I agree with you, clipped and distorted to hell. Maybe you could send the link over to Decaf. Maybe he can fix it up and work his magic.
I was thinking about that but wasnt sure if he does requests. Is the only way to help the clipping to slow it down? Ive just noticed all his songs are slowed so I wasnt sure if thats how he does it or if he just likes it slow

Those would be jacked in a heartbeat dude, as cool as it would be to have those.
-
I didnt, but I listen to em now.
-
Pretty sure its clipped anyway, lines go all the way to the top and bottom of the scope in WMP and it gets really distorted. Its called "Bass to be murdered by" and no idea who its by

Sorry dude, I agree with the rest

What exactly is a Clipped song?
-
Ok dont worry guys I took a smarter path, all is well, Im having Custom CarTunes hook it up on wed for $65 so I cant fuck it up
-
Run the wire under the car. Btw, why can't you get it through the dash?
I have the stock stereo out and when I try to drop the new wire through they get caught somewhere and I cant find them, if I could them Id simply finish it the proper way.
are you trying to power an amp off the HU power wire? cause if you tap into a wire that small you WILL burn it up. just drill a hole in the firewall and run the real power wire through it. dont risk burning down your car man.NO no, Im trying to just get the HU itself hooked up
-
Ok I know Im gonna get yelled at for this, but its just temporary for now until I can get it done properly. I cant get the wires through the dash or anything like that so I cant get the wires all the way to the trunk. Out of the stock black and blue harnesses which color is the power? Sadly I need to wire into those TEMPORARILY, please help
-
Fuck it, I cant seem to do it anymore

Slightly annoyed because not only did I look on youtube but that is also the way I tried recently and it didnt work, I musta done something wrong on that very simple trick. Course I also didnt think to type in jack queen king ace
Thanks

Long ass time ago I was watching some magic thing on tv and he showed how to do this one card trick where you pulled out the ace, king, queen, and jack of each kind, put em together in a certain order and put them back in the deck. You could cut the deck as many times as you wanted (aside from once of course) and somehow when you flipped the top cards over they always managed to be in the same order ace, jack, queen, king of the same suit all thru all 4 suits. I know it worked cause I used that trick a thousand times as a kid to mess with friends and guests but I completly forgot how to do it.
Got any help?

make sure your tip is clean, also make sure you tip is tinned. Get you a small sponge and get it wet but not soaked. when the iron is hot take and roll the tip in the damp sponge. this will get any extra solder off the tip and help clean it up a bit. then take some fresh solder and get a little on the tip and roll the tip again. this should tin the tip and make soldering easier. it shouldnt take 5 mins to heat up the wire but depending on the thickness of it, it may take a min. also if you are going to try to resolder the wiresin the pic i would cut that out and start fresh.
EDIT:
just found this, it should help you out some. when you have some time just get you some scrap wires and practice man. once you do it a few times youll get the hang of it.
Great, thanks dude!
velvetdreams:I outline the exact way to achieve a perfect solder connection, as well as how to properly make every other conceivable connection in my book - Automotive Wiring and Electrical Systems. You can pick up a copy at your local Barnes and noble or order one from Darvex, Mobile Solutions, Amazon.com, Jegs, Summit Racing, etc.
Best of luck.
If I didnt recently lose my job Id prolly look into buying it, unfortunately Im looking for free tips lol, sorry man
-
How long does that take? cause I literally held it to the wires for about 3 or 4 minutes and it still didnt get hot enough, could my iron be broken/weak? Cause it is hot enough to melt the rosin instantly
-
This is what I have
-
heat the wires really well before you apply solder. Make sure you have flux core solder. This looks like a cold solder joint. The solder should flow into the wires if its hot enough and if you have flux
I tried using some thick stuff my mom had in her basement but the stuff wouldnt melt for some reason so I used some much much thinner stuff she had but it wasnt on a spool so I dont know about any name or anything
thanks for the info, anything else I should know?
-
Ive never done it before, nor have I seen anyone do it or even had anyone tell me anything about it so I went in blind and this is what I came out with, Im sure I used WAY too much but I couldnt spread the damn stuff around. I started by twisting the wires together so thats one reason it looks so big.
What tips do you guys have for me?

You guys make your own or is there a section or site that has them?

You have to run wires from the tuner in the trunk. The tuner can be in 3 different places depending on the model of the car 1. back of seat 2. right side of trunk 3. under rear deck . Metra makes a relocation harness 70-1856 that comes with everything you need.
Which would be easier, their 17ft harness or their relocation harness?
-
pull the passenger sill plate, and the bottom of the back seat. Run the wire out the bottom of the dash, under the glove box, down the kick panel, then to the back, under the rear seat, into the trunk, to the factory amp just on top of the passenger wheel well. It seriously takes all of 20 minutes to do. If you car run RCA's, you can do this no problem
the only RCAs are on the new HU for the amp and acc. Thanks for the info, Ill start working on this when I can stand being outside that long (no garage).

On to the next question, I see no area for the wires to run from the dash to the trunk, where do the stock wires run?
-
it will not work behind the radio. gotta go to the trunk. its not hard go to walmart or lowes pick up some 16 gauge primary wire in black blue red and yellow and go to town.
so 16 gauge primary wire and 16 gauge speaker wire.
Kinda wish this song wasnt so damn clipped

Definitely sounds a hell of a lot clearer but it also doesnt seem to hit NEARLY as hard, course the 12's I have hooked to my comp arent tuned good at all and have no kind of bass boost so it could just be that. Anyone else have this problem?
Well Im glad I could start something then
