  1. no im getting the parts from precision port, like the flares and the coplings and just getting a longer PVC or sono tube which even one is thin walled from home depot

    oh i understand now.

hey kranny if i make the box 30 in total in depth and then have the port facing up instead of shooting back towards the trunk i can do a port thats 150^3 and have it tuned to 30 hertz is this good, and also do u think this will do hairtricks and hit around 150dbs

  2. once again, more port. And you know your ports bend right? You seem to have not taken that into account in the picture. I'd shoot for 14-16 sq inches with those pvc ports. And flare them too.

you know how hard it will be to flare a piece of PVC? let alone 4?

  3. im currently stuck on making my box i have half of my new equipment and the rest is on its way

im using 2 SMD 18s D1s on a Kicker Warhorse

plan on giving it 5000 watts RMS to each sub

i know these subs work well in small enclosures so this is what i came up with

    Box44x2675x25specsheet.jpg

i know the aeroports are only 17" long but ima use thin wall gutter tube from home depot to adjust that

    thanks for any advice

  4. but you keep forgetting the max length of the aero ports is 17"

I said before that you're going to need to make them long by going out and buying your own thin-wall PVC...contact psp-inc about getting just the flares and coupling rings, and buy the PVC yourself. 17" port length is going to give you a 36hz tuning.

so you can just buy the aeroports in pieces?

  5. And actually, if you want to just do a double baffle and have it one layer everywhere else(with adequate bracing), you can do something like 11.5ft^3 at 33hz with 21" long ports. That will give you 4.25" from the back wall once installed, which is fine for an aeroport.

the bracing im gonna use is gonna be a 2x2 steel tube and also ima resin the inside and make the 45 degree angles

  6. so i wanna fit 2 18s in my jeep wrangler i currently have 1 right now, i wanna be able to do hairtricks easily and also to hit around 150dbs

heres the box idea i came up with

    tunning32hertz.jpg

im gonna be powering it off a Kicker warhorse and i wanna be able to hair tricks

if someone can help me that would be appreciated

each SMD will be getting 5000 watts

  7. Actually I could be wrong but the warhorse is not 1ohm stable. It puts its power out at 2ohms. So you need 2 d2 subs not 2 d1 or d4. If I am right then you would only need to buy one new d2 sub cause you already have 1 d2 right?

thats what i thought, acutally thats what everyone thought but the CJ18 told me no u need to D1s and then i confirmed with KIcker and there like yah u need 2 D1s and you have to wire them push and pull because the kicker warhorse isnt a common amplifier and requires a different way to wire it and shit so i was like fuck lol but then i already had the amp so it was too late for me to do anything now i guess its either i recone which ive never done and don;t know how to or buy 2 d1s

also the SMD i have right now is number 35 :(

  8. the t4000 is still amazing ima sell that and my current D2 SMD 18 so i can buy 2 18 smd D1s bcuz i didn`t know that inorder to run 2 subs on the warhorse they have to be either D1s or D4s

Why not just get recones? It's a whole lot more affordable.

really that seems hard to do tho and i didn`t see anyone do it for the smds yet and how much do u think they would cost

It would be easier and cheaper than selling the one you have just to buy another one.

how much do you think it would costÉ a guess like 300
