  1. im going to go where i bought the amp this weekend see if they can get it figured out im going to ask if i can hook up a different mono amp to see if the amp is the problem i got it almost a year ago so i should still have my warranty on it. i hope
  2. im just confused why it will work before i turn the DB's up then it will go into protect.
  3. its a kenwood kdc 691 one of the newest ones almost a year old so is the amp but i had it hooked up to the cheap xovision x348nt touchscreen and it did the same thing to it. it worked fine on my two audiobahn subs just when i sold those to get these 4 kickers it wotn work now
  4. how i have it hooked up is i have 8 wires inside the box 4 for red and 4 for black they are hooked to the subs which have a femal connecter crimmped to them which all 8 are hooked to male connectors on the speakers terminals. i then took wire ffrom the termianals ran them twisted all postives togather hooked them into the postive block of the amp and twisted all negatives and put them into the negative side of the block is this wrong?
  5. they are 4 ohm kicker comps the black and yellow ones i got some new rca cables and it worked for about 15 seconds and then went back into protect mode. like if i turn the bass down it will work but when i turn the dbs up past -3 it goes itno protect mode they are hooked up to a memphis 1.500 class d mono the speakers are all 4 rated at 600 rms total the amp is 500. the amp turns on just fine but when sound goes thorugh it, it will go red. should it be on input side of the amp or ouput side? i was told that they will be tookin down to 1 ohm is that safe for amp and subs? and yes they are single voice coils
  6. its not the head unit. i think its the amp because it turns on just fine but when sound goes through it it puts it on protect mode
  7. i tried that im throwin that picea junk out and goin back to my kenwood kdc 991
  8. okay heres the deal i just got my new headunit and its an xovision x348NT and i have 4 kickers hooked up to a memphis 1.500 class d mono block well heres the problem everytime a song comes on it will hit a split second and throws it in protect mode idk how to fix it because there are so many rca outputs and inputs to use i will list them. subwoofer (brown) i was thinking this was it but theres only one rca for it so i havent tried it Front left rca out (white) Front right rca out (red) Rear left rca out (purple) Rear right rca out(blue) Aux right in(red) aux left in (white) Video in(yellow) Backupcamera video out (yellow) video out (yellow) What one does it hook up to and why is it going into protect mode?
