  1. That power would probably be better suited for the lvl 4, but I hear lots of shit about stock coils.

If I were to go with DC, I would get a lvl 4 with the level 5 upgrade.

    exactly as he said,

    I run each of my lv4 15s with lv5 coils @ 1200ish watts @ 2ohms and they perform flawlessly

  2. I like my Sony (MEX-BT5700U) 3 sets of 4v pre amps and a simple menu system, clean sound along with great Bluetooth features.

Never had pioneer but I saw a couple of them and man are they nice! Right now the brands that I'm looking at are kenwood, pioneer and jvc. Still wondering if there are certain things I need to look for when I buy a headunit?

    Pre-amp voltage,

what is the pre-amp voltage (4 prefer),

    Good menu system,

Nice features (HD, BT, Ipod etc etc),

Can you adjust settings easily on the fly.

and most importantly, Can you stand to use it every day?

Personally I don't worry about the output wattage (54W x4ch etc etc) as Ideally you would be running each set of speakers in your ride off of a dedicated amp (Subs-Amp, Doors-Amp, Rear-amp).

If you do run an amp for your speakers as I mentioned you want a radio that can deliver clean precise signal to the amps (4v seems to be the norm).

  3. After the port came cutting the port openings in the top.

Once again with the unconventional methods.

    IMG_6313.jpg

Once we drilled cut and then Jigged out the top we made sure it fit... (it did)

    IMG_6330.jpg

Next came the decision as to how I was going to run the wire, Originally I was told to drill a hole and the run the wire out of the back then silicone the hole.... I didn't like that idea so I followed some of the designs I have saw on here and made terminals on the top of the box.

Now that the terminals were on-top I wanted something to prevent anything from flying back and shorting out the subs so we made housings to go on-top (which are removable via 2 screws each).

From here we Wired everything up and assembled the front.

I didn't take any pics of cutting the holes out as it was done while I went on a parts run....

About right here is where I must say To Be Continued as the weather has prevented me of taking pictures thus far after this last image.

But these are the amps that are/will be pushing the subs. I have one hooked up as of now which terrorizes my stock alt and stock battery...

    What I still need:

    Batteries (XS prefer)

    HO Alt

    New Head Unit

Carpet or paint on the box (damn weather..)

  4. Before I was rocking 2 RF P3's in the back of my Sonoma, I wanted bigger and louder so I went bigger and much louder.

The build is semi complete (functioning but not at full power) but due to weather/work I haven't been able to finish some things….

Note: This was our first ever box build so we where questioning the feasibility of the project.. But im glad we pushed on.

In the Beginning there was wood! (3 sheets of 3 quarter)

    IMG_6223.jpg

Then With a flash of lightning ans some manly grunting the first sheet exploded into 2 perfect face panels which would be joined together for all of eternity in sickness and in health till death do they part

Measuring the difference the for the saw so that the cut is accurate.

    IMG_6225.jpg

The walls were the trickiest to cut as so we took unconventional methods into consideration.

  5. Do me a favor, Go to your local high school and take a class called "Intro to Writing". Once you understand how to effectively communicate and format your sentences then come back and re-ask your question.

I fail to see the need for me to take my time or anyone else top take their time and read your horrible grammar. If the paragraph was pleasantly formatted then I would give it a look over and provide input if needed.

For an example I will provide my thought process in words on how I view your post.

You: "HI STEVE BEEN THINKING OF CONTACTING YOU FOR AGES BUT NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE OF INTEREST…."

Me: "Holly crap this guy is annoying.. I can't stand to read any more of this mess!"

If your post was formatted properly I bet the situation would be a lot different. For example here is a revised excerpt, Let's see if we notice a difference.

You: "Hi Steve, I've been thinking of contacting you for quite some time but until recently it has not been a top priority of mine"

Me: " Wow Steve has some smart fans In London"

Can we spot the positive influence a decent sentence can have for people reading your paragraph?

I'm also aware that certain forum clients do not have very good text editing capabilities such as sub-par formatting options ,but you sir cannot use that excuse.

    Have a GOOD DAY!
