Hmmm, maby it sheets (?) Sorry my English is Screwd up ^^
3/4 inch is 20mm.
I have been talking to some expirenced enclousure builders here in Norway, and they say plywood is the way to go. Since is more stiff/dont flex so easy.
And I think 30mm plywood will be better then 20mm MDF. But Im not an expert.
And the local hardware stores dont sell untreated MDF. I must drive like 2 hours for getting some MDF
EDIT
This is what i meant by plates/sheets:
Don't use plywood. It is strong, but not good in this situation. The thinner MDF would be better than the 30cm thick plywood.
If you're worried about flexing, use bracing (wood or threaded rod) inside the box

A 12" DC Level 4 XL on the AQ2200D would probably sound pretty good in that CRX
-
^^^^
what he said. they are very under rated. Plus you will loose some of that power with voltage drop
Agreed. Expect about 10% of your power to be lost for each volt

A kerf cut is a method of bending wood.. Google's your friend

-
i'm just fuckin' with you guys. i know i cant.
but really, does anyone have a box design for a single 18, 5 cubes or less, tuned from 32-35 hz?
I could come up with one for $5. Just PM me maximum dimensions

do you think i can hit 159 desibols with 1 18 on a sony xplod 1000 watt amp?
Highly doubtful. Steve has 4 18s and 2 8s (over 4x your cone area) and ~30,000 watts (the power of 30 of those amps) and im pretty sure he hit 156.x
What kind of car and sub? Im sure someone can give you an estimate
-
RF T2500-1BD "CP"
He said 2000 watts. Im expecting the T2500-1bdCP to do around 3000. He could just keep the gain down though so it puts out ~2000.

Rf t2500-1bd

150 with 4 12" type rs..doubt it.
I would wall your car. That's probably the best option. You need to give us a budget tho

-

-
In the first vid the girl didn't even seem like she heard it. Most people would probably be jumping out of the car..lol

i'm positive they are wired up right, i just think they are poorly built woofers, as for the clipping that could be a factor, i'm not very sure what clipping sounds like.
thanks for the input.
Many times clipping isnt audible. You should go to your local shop and use an o-scope if they have one.

Does anybody have any experience with the FI Q's or IA lethal Injections? which one would be better for my circumstaces? I haven't heard either companies speakers in person, only on youtube, that does no justice.
PM Oldsboomer. He has a Fi Q with BP Power on 2200watts rms.
I have a comment on your electrical. Before you run that kind of power, you should get atleast a 220 amp alt and better batteries. Those optimas dont charge and discharge fast.
-
Yes, some have a higher strand count and use more copper (a higher percentage.) Its just like power cable, it just transfers audio signal.
-
ok i have a 4ch amp . how many speakers can i run off of that amp ? can i run 2 mid ranges per ch ? or will it kill the amp ? amp is rockford fosgate power t600.4 .. thanks for any help ...
You could run 100 speakers per channel as long as the impedence is correct. You can run those two mid ranges to one channel if they're single 4 ohm speakers. If you wire them, you'll put 2 ohms on one channel

i may be out of line here, but im pretty sure the idea of a port is to move enough air you can feel it?
The main purpose of a port is to tune the enclosure; It just allows air to leave it
