You don't need sync cables... Use the master/slave and the output and it does the same exact thing as the bd-sync cable, and its cheaper...
His subs might be 2 ohms though. If you want full power and have a final load of 2 ohms, you need the cable. If the final load of the sub is 1 ohm, you would do master/slave.

No high level,
but do you mean does it have an on/off switch on the actual amp? if so, then no. it doesnt.
Thanks. I'll clarify the second part. On some amps (like Kickers) you don't need a remote turn on lead. Instead the amp turns on when it senses voltage in the RCA cable. I'm guessing the amp doesn't have that because you didnt know what I was talking about.

an i might have a pair for sale i'm not sure yet but the xl for sure man there some people on here i believe running 3k on a xl if i'm correct
Thanks, but im not ready to buy yet. Ill be buying in a few months. When i am ready to get the sub, ill probably get new because I dont like used subs (nor do i like other used things..giggity) and the price is good

either sub is fine, i picked DC because they have always been good to me... But you are not under powering a BTL by putting 2000 rms on it...
its RMS is 2000 so its not under powering at all...
people forget that part about a BTL... not everyone NEEDS or CAN throw 5k+ daily at them.
What I meant is the amp is rated at 2200 watts rms at 14.4 volts. If i drop to 13.4, itll do ~1800 wrms at 1 ohm. The amp im looking at is an Audioque AQ2200D
-
Level 4 XL hands down! They can do 2x RMS no problem.
I just didnt wanna underpower the BTL when the voltage drops (nuthin huge, probably to 13.4 max). Thanks for the input
-
Which sub will like being in about a 4 cubic foot box tuned to ~32hz on a 2000wrms amp more? A 15" DC Level 4 XL or stock 15" Fi BTL?
-
Its premiering in 4 minutes!!

DC Audio has excellent customer support. I asked Thorshammer 3 questions in a PM. The first question was answered about 5 hours later, second response from him came about an hour after I posted my response, and the third response came about 20 minutes later..talk about FAST!!
I asked him, "would you put an XL or Level 5 on 2000 clean watts rms?" He surprisingly said, xl the lvl 5 really doesnt wake up till 4k or so ." This just shows that he is honest and doesnt JUST want your money.
I havent made a purchase with them yet, but im willing to when the time is right!
-
what do u mean by big bass..
cause my definition of big bass cost more money than that..
yeah, I agree. I would do a single 12 with that budget, but you still won't get "big bass."
-
Does that AQ have a high level input? Also, does it have an option to turn on when it senses a signal from the RCAS?
-
Damn, and thats on only about 70% of the rared RMS. That must really get down when you kit 4kwrms!!
-
I'm also curious about this
-
I would do around $400. Maybe $500 but to me that's pushing it
-
I was just meaning as a length comparison
oh, I see now. A good cheap and reliable place to find wire is KnuKonceptz.com
I've used them many times and have never been disappointed
-
well the typical "Walmart" wiring kit will reach to my trunk. Im not sure of the run length but 2 feet on to that kit would be plenty
Just keep in mind that the "2 gauge" at walmart is probably 4 gauge at the biggest
-
how large of a wire would i need to run from front battery to the yellow tops? 0 gauge for everything or could I get away with 2 gauge
you need to measure the length because it's different for every setup. I would do 0 gauge but you could do it with 2, I would just do an extra run or two
Oh no yellow tops then... what should i get with out giving a arm and leg?
Kinetiks or XS Power (from mechman.com). I heard mixed reviews about Dekas
-
I was hoping just 0 gauge big 3 and amp wires, 260 Amp Alt from Iraggi and 2 optima yellow top batteriess
Don't use yellow tops! They aren't able to charge and discharge fast enough. Also, they don't have a large capacity
-
I would just say fuck it and do a 21" Warden.
Shit, 1 grand? No thanks..the only sub I would spend that kinda money on is an SMD.
-
Yessss, i also wanna see 2 15´s , i think that people with 4 12´s are pussy!!
Well then..haha. This is my new quote
-
4 Kickers would be more cone area but I say fuck it do the 2 15's cause I haven't seen much done with 15's lately. It's all "Look at my 36 12's in my Astro Van!" or "Look at my 4 18's in my Tahoe!" I wanna see some 15's!
Ive seen the beginning of the van, i need to look into that again. The Tahoe came out EXTREMELY clean BTW!
-
1) 4 12" Kicker CVX subs
9 cubic foot box tuned to ~32hz
Audioque 3500.1D amplifier wired down to 1 ohm
2) 2 15" Fully Loaded Fi BTLs
9 Cubic foot box tuned to ~32hz
Audioque 3500.1D amplifier wired down to 1 ohm
-
a pair of d3100s?
you beat me to it!
-
Thats a really clean install!
-
Steve sponsers them..haha, jk.
Their specs seem good, they charge and discharge rapidly. The price seems good too. Also, you can't say that you don't like how it looks
Friends first build- Mods needed to 1200 watts rms.

I would do big three, new starter, and a batt in the back
