MORNING BUMP
-
Haha I did the same. Mine's 240 @ 8 ohms, but I was like "fuck it" and threw my other shelf speakers on it for a 4 ohm load. It kills the lows even without a sub.
Yeah, mine hits lows really hard too with the sub off. I have a 12" kicker cvr in a ported box tuned to ~32hz and it sounds amazing. It's not the cleanest but it's not sloppy at all. The sub is only for when I'm in the mood so idc..lol.

Sony makes solid home stereo equipment. That looks perfect for what you're trying to do. Sony's considered "entry-level" as far as car audio goes, but their home audio stuff is good shit. Grab it.
thanks for the input. I have a "shelf system" in my room. It's rated at like 120wrms at 8 ohms. I have my 4 drivers wired in parallel so the final load is 4 ohms. I don't have any problems. The receiver stays ice cold

what do you guys think about that? It'll be used to run 2 outdoor polk audio speakers that are rated at 5-100wrms. Would you recommend Sonys home stereos.

@Hdorre: You agree with less wiring....and getting a second amp? The two do not go together.
sorry for the confusion! I didn't mean to quote the second thing. I'll fix it.
-
less wiring to do ftw. lol thats my opinon.
I agree with this statement. Also with 1 4k, the subs will get the EXACT same power if im correct
-
Im doing it as well as Tripp. I dont know about anyone else on this site. We both have 64gb ipads and theyre going in our cars. We both have alternate head units as well.
By the way, XM
Thats pretty cool! It"ll prolly look good on the big screen
-
Anybody thought to use an iPad at a headunit? Anybody done it? Seems like a good idea if u molded it into the dash or sumthin'.
I wouldnt. No XM Radio, Satellite Radio, FM, AM, Cd, or Tape Player. Also, no fader/ balance control. Syncing would be a bitch if its permantly molded.

put pix in apparell section .
X2..I wanna see!

ah ok, well if you need help when it comes to installing it let me know...i know a thing or two about f150's
I dont doubt that at all! I saw ur build log the other day and ur system looks extremely clean. I bet it hits hard as hell too!!
-
That's great thank you.
Appreciate the help fellas.
Youre welcome..just tryin' to help a brotha out

My B.
It's Extended, and it'd b really for the subs amps, speakers.

Sub Amp- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9850_Rockford+Fosgate+Punch+P1000-1bd.html

The total is just under $900 and the system should be decent on a stock electrical system (with an exception of the Big 3 and a battery)

Bumping Up My Post.
Are you really that impatient?
Anyway, back to the topic: the double din alone would be close to 1000. Is the 1000 for the COMPLETE system or just for subs and an amp. Also, what kind of cab do you have (single, extended, crew, or king?)
-
Maybe you should start 2 or 3 more threads about it. I'm sure one of the mods will notice and care eventually.
Either they'll care, or the threads will get locked (which they should because there is a sticky somewhere about changing names)
-
I'm lovin the amp rack! It's all really clean
-
Really? No one knows?
Ask whoever posted the video
-
Im surprised the hatch closes..haha. But it looks good real nice! Are those 15s?

www.ficaraudio.com
You beat me to it! They have excellent prices considering every sub is custom made

my alt is going to be a 300 amp, the amp will be running about 3100-3300 watts at 1 ohm, 4 channel at about 60 watts per channel. Also the battery is in the back on the magnum(dont know if that makes a difference or not). i would call nathan but dont want to do that until i am ready to buy(dont want to bother him) just figured if he was on here he would answer when he got around to it.
It sounds good to me! What do you have upfront battery-wise? You should look into a D3400 if you have the money
-
Hello i was wanting to know if running a D3100 would be enough battery for a RF2500-1bd and a 400 watt 4 channel amp? also i am wanting to to know which iBar i would need in order to run two battery terminals on it? thanks in advance
How many amps is ur alt? Also, what impedance would the t2500 run at and whats it rated for at that impedance?
-
thanks so very much guys and do you think darvex is the best place to buy all my wires fuse online thanks
For wiring, try knukonceptz.com. They also sell fuseholders. I believe fuses come with the fuseholders (you can choose up to 300 amperes)
-
ok thanks for that fast reply because i'm looking to oreder all my stuff right now from darvex and i wanted to know and also what size fuse for a jl audio 1000/1 1000rms and a 450/4 450rms thats a total of 1450rms thanks
The fuse of the cable should be how much current the wires can run. There's a chart somewhere on the site. I think the electrical section (it's a sticky)
-
The drive may not be super comfortable. Even though you said you're a good driver, I'd still bring a spare
-
Thanks for that, but I guess I wasn't clear enough with what I wanted.
Like, on the PSU, I know there are multiple wires, most of which I don't use, I need to know which wires to use, and then I would like to have a diagram with fuses and stuff drawn in.
Again, thanks for trying anyway, that is technically what I asked for
You need to use the +12 volt rail (yellow) and the ground (black).
In order to turn on the PSU, you need to connect the only green wire with a ground (black wire).
I'll edit the diagram tomorrow morning. Do you also want all the speakers and RCAs drawn in? I can't do the sub because I don't know if you have in wired in series or parallel
how to choose what frequency

it usually depends on what type of music you listen to, or whether you compete in SPL
