  1. What should I do to verify the leads are gon bad? It didn't completely sit for 3 yrs. it's probably went down every six months after running for only a few.
  2. I bought this battery a little over 3 years ago but then got tasked with an overseas assignment, once I got to Europe, I messed up the tranny and no one there could obviously do the work the way I needed on the Saturn so I had a pretty paper weight in my front yard for 3 years, for the most part. Fast forward, I'm back in America, trying to get everything up and running. GM dealership tested the S3400 as a bad cell, not really holding charge, and so did the Autozone charger. I don't know anyone else with a good battery charger just yet. It's been sitting in my garage for about a week. Still reads out 12.1v. Is it a bad battery? It won't take the complete charge, it gets to about 80% then won't take much more.
  3. Sounds good...I'll keep that in mind, I guess I'll order up a recone and basket for (1) see how I do, hopefully I don't mess it up.
  4. Max dimensions for a box in that trunk is 37.5x16x25 I imagine that's roughly 4-5 usable cu ft...but I'm no box expert by far.
  5. That's sounds like it would be best...just one sub is already complete(until it gives up one me) and the other is sitting on a 15" basket already. I was thinking about cone area on that one. (2) 12's would definitely be ideal though. Do you think it'd be even worth it to attempt a (2) 15 set-up. I don't even know how hard it is to re-cone a sub let alone (2). I'm all the way in Spain, Idk of much help out here w/that. Thanks for the reply Pretty much I'm in the search for the loudest set-up possible out of the trunk w/what I got, I know the konaki motors were supposed to be "imitation" 9500's. The sub needing a re-cone burped a 150 in an accord wagon w/a sundown re-cone & stetsom in the current box that I have but it's tuned way too high for my liking on music.
  6. Okay, will (1) 15 or (2) 15 be better for the trunk? Air space is an issue when using larger subs in trunks I believe. (1) 15 or building (2) 10's with the motors are what I am considering. Anyone?
  7. What's up SMD, I'm just on a hunt for loud out of a trunk. I was trying to re-create that breath taking bass I'd feel as a kid my cousin's accord w/three OG kicker round solo-barics on a Rockford 1000. So I figured I'd try (3) NEW round solo-barics on a BXi2610, built the box to specs...long story short, not even close. It did sound decent, just no where near what I'd expected, major let down(maybe my box was flawed). I'm back, limited on the funds as I've been playing around with my Evo. But go fast can never keep me satisfied for long. I'll even make this easy, I'm just hunting for "(2) 13" W7's running on (1) JL 1000" Loud. A friend is running that set-up in his trail blazer and I would be content to even reach that level for now, knowing damn well, that isn't REALLY loud. It's depressing, keep wasting money, time, material, this time I'm not going to do it, I'm only going to work with what I have: (1) Konaki Motor (Just motor on 15" Basket); Blew a coil, believe it was using a sundown recone. (1) Konaki Motor (fully operation in the "MD Sounds skin" straight from the company; someone local had one) dual 2 ohm. (1) BXi2610 (1) Nations Electric custom built 275a alt (2) XS Power Batts (1) Optima) in the trunk(can't remember the specs of the XS' @ the moment) I know I damn sure got more juice than my buddy on those JL's! lol he has one extra optima in his trunk, that is all! I do know his box is the bread and butter of his build, built specifically for his truck to the recommended JL specs I presume. Thoughts; Recone the other 15" Konaki to dual 2 ohms and try to squeeze them in the trunk! And still have room for a 5-gallon air tank for the air suspension I am working on now. Is it possible?! I just want loud! I don't care about breaking records, SPL competitions, just some good chest pounding thump. The specs for my trunk are: Max width (inches) : 37.5" Max height(inches) : 16" Max Depth (inches) : 25" Any ideas?? I'm currently running The "MD Sounds Konaki" 15 in this SPL box(1 ohm), its tuned way to high but it does hit hard just it's that "annoying" to your ear hit(tuned around 38-40hz and the box is about 4cu ft). I'd imagine getting both 15's squeezed back there could shake some things up. What do you think? -New Box design for the 15? -Squeeze the (2) 15's back there? -Continue my "wishing on a star hunt" for that gut wrenching (1) sub wonder set-up -Give up, build 18's and wall it? lol (not so practical @ the moment)
  8. *pm'd* back Price Range from $250-$350ish...
  9. As stated...Looking for another amp so I can strap em. Lemme know if you know anyone or are selling one, cash/paypal ready and burning a hole in my pocket. *Tristate area prefered for pick-ups* Thanks for looking.
