Yeah, but I've installed other headunits before and they all worked fine.
Went and bought a new adapter from AutoZone, for GM vehicles I believe.

Need some help, tried to google it, but no answers.
Just hooked up a new kenwood today and it will only turn in if the red and yellow wires are spliced together.
Also my speedometer light doesn't come on now.
I checked all the fuses, but none are blown.
Vehicles is a 2001 S-10.

Forevrbumpn on here does recones as well. I know he just started doing type r's which im pretty sure have a 2.5" coil and I'm pretty sure he can get custom coil sizes.
Not sure these are worth it to recone but if its something you want to try I say give it a shot and call it a learning experience. Worse comes to worse hang them on the wall in the garage for display purposes.
Yeah i wanna c how cool/hard it is to do a recone. But can someone give me an estimate of what lookn to spendng here??
Couldn't tell ya.. Only MTX I've ever heard of getting re-coned is a 9500. If the Type R uses a 2.5" coil, I highly doubt those MTX's even use a 2" Coil.
If you disassembled it and measured the voice-coil gap, it'd be easier to find a re-cone.

Last time I checked they only did 3" Coils and up. I asked them about doing a 10" Type R and a 10" JL W3V3, but they said the coils were too small.

I'm going to be running almost the same amount of power, 2 15" LVL 4's (xl's eventually) on 2 AudioPipe 3000d's. Would I be okay with doubling everything up, and a little fiber-glass? And where can I get the little wooden rods like most people have for braces?
Going in the back of a 96 Chevy S-10 Blazer. Subs firing up and port firing towards the rear door.

Passive, you use the crossover supplied with most components they split the signal from on channel into two diff sets of fequencys using crossover high of tweeter and mid for midrange , Active crossovers you need an amp for each set of frequencys a amp for tweeters and a amp for mids , ( some 4 channel amps have 4 channel input ) make sence or have I made it worse ?

Yeah, I'm putting 4 6.5's, and 2 tweets in my blazer soon, was wondering how I go about filtering out frequencies. I mean, what do I need to buy to say have the 6.5's run 80-1khz, and the tweets like 1khz+ or w/e.

Fuck that, to the OP, i bought a kit off ebay for like 4 euro- edit: that`d be like 6 dollars, forgot your all in america
you gotta open the xbox yourself and replace some the x clamps with screws and my RROD was fixed, been using it for few months now I didnt have a lot of experience with electronics when I did it so i think pretty much anyone could,
just google "360 x clamp fix" or something similar and you can get the kit off ebay =]

I'm looking to trade a 10" Alpine Type R D4, and a pair of Pioneer 4-Way 6x9's. The Type R, is basically new, only had about 5 hours of play on it, suspension is still stiff. The 6x9's have never been hooked up, just taken out of the box.
All I want is a 360 w/ a hard-drive and atleast 1 controller.(2 would be cool..)

I have for sale a 10" Alpine Type R D4, its brand new. Bought it new from a shop a while ago. Has about 5 hours of play on it. Suspension is still stiff. Has never been clipped or over-powered. Only saw 1/4 gain from an AudioPipe 1500.
Cosmetics: 8.5/10 (just some small nicks and scratches on basket and motor)

I also have some Pioneer 6x9 4-Ways I bought from Wal-mart for $40, I'll let them go for $15 + Shipping. They've never been hooked up, just took them out of the box.

I might try a DMM. What are all the major fuses that involve a headunit so I can double check them all?
Actually the problems could be my fault. Before I installed the new kenwood, I was unhooking my amp and wasn't paying attention and the power, ground, and remote all touched together and caused a huge flash and loud noise.
