I might try a DMM. What are all the major fuses that involve a headunit so I can double check them all? Actually the problems could be my fault. Before I installed the new kenwood, I was unhooking my amp and wasn't paying attention and the power, ground, and remote all touched together and caused a huge flash and loud noise.

Yeah, but I've installed other headunits before and they all worked fine. Went and bought a new adapter from AutoZone, for GM vehicles I believe.

Need some help, tried to google it, but no answers. Just hooked up a new kenwood today and it will only turn in if the red and yellow wires are spliced together. Also my speedometer light doesn't come on now. I checked all the fuses, but none are blown. Vehicles is a 2001 S-10.

Yeah i wanna c how cool/hard it is to do a recone. But can someone give me an estimate of what lookn to spendng here?? Couldn't tell ya.. Only MTX I've ever heard of getting re-coned is a 9500. If the Type R uses a 2.5" coil, I highly doubt those MTX's even use a 2" Coil. If you disassembled it and measured the voice-coil gap, it'd be easier to find a re-cone.

Last time I checked they only did 3" Coils and up. I asked them about doing a 10" Type R and a 10" JL W3V3, but they said the coils were too small.

I'm going to be running almost the same amount of power, 2 15" LVL 4's (xl's eventually) on 2 AudioPipe 3000d's. Would I be okay with doubling everything up, and a little fiber-glass? And where can I get the little wooden rods like most people have for braces? Going in the back of a 96 Chevy S-10 Blazer. Subs firing up and port firing towards the rear door.

Yeah, I'm putting 4 6.5's, and 2 tweets in my blazer soon, was wondering how I go about filtering out frequencies. I mean, what do I need to buy to say have the 6.5's run 80-1khz, and the tweets like 1khz+ or w/e.
