  1. I am trying to get some ideas on making my amp rack... I have two sundown 3k amps and a sundown 100.4... I will have my battery rack centered in front of the bed (front of bed is on the right side of the pic)... I just need to figure out how I should make my amp rack to give it a clean look... If you have any ideas, post them up!

This is what I have to work with

  2. i have tried to charge one of my d3100 with a die hard platinum battery charger with the agm setting and charge rate at 2A slow. it charges the battery fine until it hits 77% @ 12.6 v and then says that the battery is bad. it is wierd cause when i check it with my dmm which has a load test and it says the battery is good. do you guys think the battery is bad or do i have a POS charger?

  3. thanks for all the help... i am nearly done... i just have to add the all thread bracing and baffle and i should be good to go... heres a pic of what i have so far. would you guys recommend me bracing it on the bottom of the port or two on each side of the port? i know for sure i will brace it up from left to right and back to the middle of the baffle

  4. I did a traditional 3" bodydrop so the cab floor is raised 3". If i single wall it i would have a lot more room... i actually would have roughly 11 cu. I already calculated on the torres with it just being single and i with the measurements i have taken, i would have too much room... Maybe enough to fit one more sub which i wont mind doing if i dont get bitched at from my other half...lol... If i made a box under the window line, i would have enough airspace but i rather just go with the wall. Since the box is flush with the top window line, it curves on the edgesso thats where i lose it. maybe i'll just do the single wall , double baffle and brace it up good... I just dont want it to break.

  5. I think I'll just single wall it then... I'm just hoping for sure that it will not break. As for the 45's, should I make them from top to bottom using the 3/4" mdf or should I use 2x4's and cut them like triangles about 2x2's every 10 inches? I would use that to brace the back and sides of the box. And maybe 1" dowels from left to right, maybe two from top to bottom and another from the rear to the baffle? I will be double baffling it. Does that sound just about right or am I going a little overboard with the bracing? When I make my port which will be 3" tall and , will I need to brace where the brace goes down also since I will have my port in the top center of the box? With all that bracing, how much would I need to punch in the under bracing displacement on the torres calculator? I do not know how to make a diagram of the box...lol... Just so you guys get a idea the dimensions will be height:32, width:42.75", depth:18". I have tried to get other measurements with doubling up but it still comes out to 6 cu. but port area would be 14.25 @34 hz. Let me know what you guys think.
