  1. Re test the 4 channel and see if it starts to do the same thing. If it doesnt, then there could be something wrong with your bass amp? Any friends with equipment to test the dd1 with?

I will try that out tomorrow.

What could be wrong with the amp?

    What type of equipment?

Equipment as in do you know anyone that has amps and such in the car that you can test the dd1 with to make sure that something isnt wrong with your amp. Im not saying that there cant be something wrong with the DD1. I think that that t his would be easiest thing to do. Im not sure what could be wrong with the amp, just throwing out some suggestions.

  2. I received my DD-1 for christmas and set the gains on all 3 of my amps that day with no problem. I bought a new sub amp today and plugged it up with the settings like it was from the previous owner. It sounded awesome but I wanted to tune it with the DD-1 to make sure I was distortion free. I turned the freq all the way up, left the bass boost where it was with the previous owner which was half way, hooked up the DD-1, turned the volume up the my max volume and started turning up the gain. When the distortion light came on I bumped the gain down to turn off the light and noticed that the GAIN LEVEL WAS LOWER THEN BEFORE I started tuning it. In my mind I was thinking about tuning it with track 7 and for some odd reason I turned up the gain with the DD-1 still hooked up the distortion light kicked back on then made a popping sound from where the ground and positive lead connected. I hurried up and turned the gain down all the way. I turned my radio to track 7 to tune it. I started turning up my gain and when the distortion light kicked on I bumped the gain back down to turn the light off. The gain was even lower than what it was when I did it the first time on track 3. Did I mess up the DD-1 by that popping sound?

You sure that the leads were not touching eachother when they made the pop sound? Why would you care if the gain was lower then were the guy had it set at, it wasnt set correctly then.

  3. I fuckin hate the niners, but i will give credit were it is due, they played a hell of a game and did there damn thing. I doubted there defense, although they were ranked #1 and they proved me wrong today. Congrats, but i still do not wish success. It would have been a great week in sports if the niners lost, teblow loses, and the heat lost 3 straight and once to the golden state warriors. Well still have hope for the tebow thing, so 2/3 aint bad

  4. You don't want the mids on full range, they aren't needed to create low frequncys that's what subs are for, but yes if done correctly it would sound better where as the staging would be a little better, I will be running all of mine active when I get to that point

thts wht iv been told by someone who is advising me to buy a 4 channel and wire them directly,he said mids on full range but i told him ur mids r suppose to be on low pass

You dont want your mids on low pass, cause it will play the frequencies lower the the setting you have it at. Unless you can put your low pass to like 3khz. I have my high pass set to 80hz and use the passive crossovers that came with my componets. Eventually i would like to run active, but thats a whole new build, and right now im trying to get the most out of what i already have. If I were you I would just run passive ( crossovers that come with the componets). Mine sound great, maybe try to mess with the placement of your equipment to get better sound instead of trying to run active.

  5. Im sorry logan, but I havent had a chance to look to see how it's wired. Been busy with the kids and stuff. I went off what someone off youtube did it, it was some shop that had a step by step explanation on how to do it. It was the video that kasey posted earlier. Remember to click the ok button in the right hand corner of the blue screen to get to the video screen.

  6. It could be a bad rca to the eq....I doubt it, all of the rcas I use are rockford fosgate but ill swap the one from the deck to the eq and see if that gets rid of all the noise. I'll tell you how I have the relay wired and you can tell me if its right cause I googled it and this is what I found...

You still have to touch the blue screen to get through, I think its the continue button.
