and its from walmart, when you're done with your build take it back and buy a better one when you get some more cash lol
haha. that would be a good plan if i wanted a nicer one later.
-
This one probably isn't trash for the price, plus it comes with a gig stick of memory
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8033494
lol. thats the exact one i was looking at. i already have a HP photosmart printer so that camera would load pics right to the screen on the printer.
-
the pics look like trash on 40 dollar cams too lol. why cheap out, pay a little more, use it for family , friends, and other things as well
i have to finish my system and that takes up most of my money. i have a couple 20's laying here and i can put that towards a camera. i dont take photos of anything ever. thats y i have never had a camera my entire life. but with all the projects im working on now it'd be cool to have some pics to post and to look back on later. so cheep is perfectly fine with me. i just need it to be better then my cell phone and have a usb cable.
-
nice is relative, to me a 40 dollar camera is a piece of trash. my 7yr old daughter has a 99 dollar canon she plays with constantly
well i dont have money to throw around. i only need it for project pix. i have been using my phone http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=13370 the pix look like trash.
-
get a 99 dollar sony or canon at least usually anything under that price range you may well use a camera phone
nah. my buddy got a nice little camera from walmart for like 40 bucks. i was just wondering if anyone knew of anything better.
-
for under 60 bucks. it doesnt have to be anything really good. it just needs a screen and be able to take clear pics. i have alt of projects in the works and i wanna get some photos in of the build process.
-
when people ask me y i just say "because i can"
-
ya. deffinetly the puerto rican version of an spl contest.
-
am i the only person who thinks thats not normal ??

everyone has different boxes and differnt setup's, steve has a t40001bd going to each of his btl's and they are great. most people have t20001bd's or t30001bd's to theirs and they work just as good. it all depends on your setup.

theyre annoying as hell
ya they are. if i had to deal with that everytime i parked or a car got close to me id have road rage 24-7 just because id be so pissed at the beeping. im glad my car doesnt have it.
-
well im sure it would stop before it hit anything behind it. if you listen carefully in that video you can hear the parktronic sensors going off.
i kno. i was just messing around. 2 of my moms BMW's have those sensors.
-
those look damn good..i just put a layer of mat of my kickpanels im working on
what r you doin to em ?
-
thanks. its always good to hear other people like your work.
-
i forgot to mention. that retangular area that looks like an empty box on the lower corner of the panel is a mount for a fiberglass panel with a carbon fiber BMW emblem mounted in the center. il post pics of it when im done with it.
-
Now if they can find a way to get a few of them on a race track and race these f-ers...that would be sweet!!!
lol. can you imagine how the guys would feel who got beat by a driver less car.
-
thats cool and all but can it back out of the garage lol there is obviously no room to enter the car in the garage unless you go through the sunroof
ya. it backs out too. it has a remote start on the key pad and another button that brings it back to where you got out of the car.
hopefully nobody parks behind it =P
-
Looks damn good! Nice and shiny too!Kick ass job man im going to fiber glass my doors on my truck but im going to have a shop do it since i dont know how =(
thanks guys. you can learn how to fiberglass from looking at groundpounders fiberglass builds. he pretty much tells you everything you need to kno. after that its all trial and error.
-
this one parks itself, so bmw pretty much can make a car that drives with no driver and can park by itself. what more could a driver ask for ?
-
i started doing these sunday. sorry for the poor picture quality, i dont own a camera. all i got is my phone.
this was my original design plan. i changed some things for the final design.
after 2 layers of resin.
after another layer of fiberglass and a layer of bondo to smooth it all out. i dont have any durablocks, but a sanding sponge and sheets of sand paper did the job just as well.
then after a layer of paint, pretty much finished.
the goods. Polk DB6501 6 1/2" component system.
ill post a pic of it all together in my car whenever it stops snowing and raining.

i have the perfect drift car , RWD, 2.7 liter 6 cylinder motor, gutted car,low profile summer performamnce tires, pretty much everything you could want to drift with, even on dry ground. thats all fun. but i was giving the noobs some tips how not to crash their cars.
-
well. i kno its snowing and its ice in PA, idk about where you guys live. but i thought id share some things to avoid when driving, in a manuel car. 9 cuz i dont drive an automatic)
1st dont hit the gas. you would think thats a no brainer. but people do it.
2nd dont hit the brakes atleast not hard, you can very lightly tap them to see if it'll stop you, but if it doesnt let them go.
3rd some people say pump the clutch, i dont reccomend that because thats like hitting the brakes in a manuel car. just push the clutch all the way down and let the car try and get traction by itself.
4th dont panic, when you start pushing the brake, giving it gas, or anything else in a panic you more then double your risk of losing what little control and safe chance you have at stopping.
5th drive slow ! even if the person behind you is bieng a royal douche bag, dont pick up speed because of them. cuz when you crash, they arent gonna pay for it, you are.
try to avoid low profile tires, they are pretty solid so they are bad for traction. if you have your stock rims id reccomend putting them on for snow use. id reccomend doing that before it get s snowy and ice out. do it on a nice day out .
if you have stock wheels with regular tires let some air out of them and you'll get atleast some more traction (dont take too much out tho)
lastly, dont get cocky and say or think it will never happen to you. cuz it can happen to anyone and everyone.

Just leave it, if the light works then who cares for now
thats what id do. you can fix it with fiberglass or take it to a shop at a later date.
my car is rwd too. last year my car slid across the street at one of my buddys houses. it would have hit a fire hydrant but my buddy had just plowed and there was the perfect mound of snow to stop me from taking out the hydrant. it could have been bad. i try and drive in the snow as little as possible.

thanks.
