ok guys we need to help our fellow smd memebers in a time of need...but back on topic why do you think audiobahn is the best company out there...its cause they use the best chrome polish out there....fi would be soooooo much better if they included a chrome spinner grill with the sub....when i had the regular audiobahn sub in my truck i was doing low 30s...but when i added the grill it made me jump to a incredible mid 150s on the AC mic.....i think its cause when the grill spins it fans out the dbs evenly through my ride

2. I never even had my Fi hooked up and bumpin.. cause i never owned a Fi til now..
you must all forgot i am not this huge bass nut.. I do this for fun... to have fun... I dont spend thousands of dollars on a system..
ohhh... and red is def. better than blue...
i am stuck in aw of how you got to over 1200 posts and you dont know about ohms. ohms are the same whether it has an FI stamped on the cone or not. lol
and its deffinetly blue cleaned with the swiffer wet jet that gives the best response and air flow. you gain like 7db's.

lol. ya it did. i read half way through then i started seeing blue and chrome add db's but only if they are clean and chrome adds 3 db if its polished. and of course i saw that you are supposed to lube your subs up to get better response and long life. lol

i barely wrap anything. i use plastic bags. its not like the gift is any better if it has paper around it. i only wrap my little brothers presents. and i only wrap theirs cuz they only like opening them. they dont care what it is.

that design puts the port right near your head. that might throw all the port noise and air from the port straight to your ears and head.

yea, in the civic. I also dont think you would hear as much port noise if there would happen to be any.
i was thinking the same thing. dbwesz has his port at the bottom also. A would be my choice for a wall.

Dude, these guys are the knowledge gurus when it comes to this stuff, but you gotta give details, sub make and model, single voice coil, dual voice coil, amp make and model and most importantly, get a tape measure and go out there and measure out your trunk. decide how much space you are willing to commit to a sub box, and measure twice. type things out so that they are easy to read and dont be afraid to give every little detail. The end result will be help you can use and advice that will be correct and make your sub sound as good as it can.
true. everyone n here can help you. but we need the most info you can give. the more details the better. after a while you'll be able to do it yourself and get a good finished product.

would i get more power if i run my stock batt plus the hc2000. .. i read that your system is only as good as your weakest battery. so would it be better to just drop the stock battery and just run the single hc2000 or parallel them ?

yeh definitely upgrade to a Ho alt when you can, run 1/0 and run 8ga for speaker wire to that sub. sounds like a nice setup
it should be pretty good. i wanted something with power but it had to be able to fit in my trunk and run off a single amp. so thats what i bought. should turn out pretty good.

well if you plan on hooking the amp up before it get warm then be careful. that amp draws a lot of power and you don't want to blow it. what sub(s) will you be running?
it'll have a 12" btl connected to it.

what size is the alternator you have now? definitely run nothing less than 1/0 and do the big 3.
my alt right now is only a 90 amp. im doing the big 3 as soon as the weather gets warmer. i cant work on my car in low 30's weather. im gonna run knukoncepts 1/0 all the way around.

personnally i think it'll be just fine with that one battery. are you still running a stock alt and have you done the big 3 yet?
im still running the stock alt and i havnt done the big 3. im getting a motorswap end of summer so i dint want to buy a high output alt and then have to get another one when i get my new motor.
