  1. Yeah i understand the dimensions but i don't understand what dimensions would be best for me. All four would be firing towards the forward. I didn't add a capacitor at all. Didn't even think about it because there are so many people that are saying not to buy a capacitor because it messes up your power. Sorry i didn't mention this before but right now i have 2/3 of the big 3 upgrade installed. My only question is that my current wire runs around my motor and to more then one thing, then runs to my fuse box, then runs to my battery. Do i replace that or add a 1/0 gauge wire from the alt to the battery? With the battery, your recommending a XS for the front? Not for the backup? Oh what i ment about about cutting out is that it will try to hit low notes, or sustain a note and then it will turn off but then turn on 20-30 seconds later. I'm guessing it's because my current (not stock but not for audio) battery isn't charging enough and my amp is running off my alternator rather then my battery. Which yes, is really bad. With the amp i was talking about, there is no way i would run all 4 on those kenwoods. I was saying either run 2 subs on 1 1800 watt amp. Or run each sub on 1 1000 watt amp. I'm not stuck on using them, but they were in my budget and sitting in my room. All 4 of them. With the false floor it's actually all going to fit. I can fit 2 of the "factory" boxes in the back. Right now i took out my whole backseat. So it's just the false floor that is installed right now. It looks super clean honestly. I will put some pictures up after this post so you can see. And honestly, thank you for all the questions and answers. That's what i am here for. To learn. There is no way i could even attempt to say i know all about car audio and it's components. So thank you.
  2. Okay now i know a lot of people just post things that they could have found with a simple visit to google but i have so many questions and most audio stores don't really want to tell me anything other then "oh well if you buy our box it will be louder" "If you would buy this box it would also have more bass." Yeah i have heard it all before. So here is my question. I am looking at a pretty big build and i have already started. (i am sorry i have no pictures) I took out my backseat and put in a false floor to hold my subwoofers. Now what i had before was 2 KFC-W3012 sub-woofers (2 12 inch kenwood subwoofers if you too lazy to look) And 1 KAC-8014D amp (1,000 kenwood amp) Now this system was bought from audioexpress and i used the box that they gave me (probably a mistake) It was pretty loud but it would cut out a lot. I talked to a lot of people and i got about 4 different answers of how to fix it 1. Get bigger gauge wire 2. Bigger alternator 3. Capacitor 4. Extra battery Now i (sadly) did up deciding to go with the bigger gauge wire. From a 4 gauge to a 0/1 gauge. Like i said, it made it louder but not really. Recently i talked to more people and i am hearing more about the extra battery. But what do you think? I really need some answers. Alright, now to what i have now. I really REALLY like how the kenwood sub-woofers handle so i decided that if i was going to get more or new sub-woofers i would go with the kenwoods. I currently have 4 KFC-W3012 sub-woofers with a KAC-9104D 1,800 watt amplifier. I haven't installed it yet because i ended up taking out everything. And on top of that my Clarion stereo broke so there was really no use keeping that extra weight inside my car. I now am looking to upgrade to a Kenwood stereo. Again what kind of stereo do you think i should get? I have looked around at a lot but i am not really sure what i want yet. Again moving on, What i want to do with my car is put my 4 sub-woofers in the back, where my back seat is. And then put my extra battery(s) in the trunk along with my amplifier. Yes, almost like Steve's honda. Now, the problem i hit right now is that i have the false floor in place but with the box i am really stressing about. I know that the box is REALLY important to the sub-woofer build. (Oh side note, i am not planning on pushing my 4 sub-woofers with that 1800 watt amplifier. I was thinking about getting either another 1800 watt amp or getting 4 1,000 watt kenwood amplifiers. Like the one i had but obviously one for each sub-woofer. Again what do you recommend) So really my question is what kind of box should i build? Right now my idea is to take the box i currently have, and just remake it. Then build 2 of them. Stick a cover panel on the front of the 2 boxes (which would be on top of each other) to make it look almost like one box. The reason is i KNOW for a fact that this box build bumps pretty well. But if there is a different box build that i should do let me know. For me this is the most stress on my mind right now. Any answers are really really appreciated. If you want dimensions let me know and i will take out some measuring tape and measure anything you need.
