  1. I love how he states that he definitely has routers and everyone stll says he doesn't. Fail for OP! :clapping:

They are routers... i know the difference dude...

I love how he has 4 years of degrees in computing but cant figure out how to work a simple internet connection

And just because i have 4 years of degrees in computing does not mean i can set up a router on a network that is set up not to allow them.

Either way for both of you I'll just ignore that you were trying to belittle me which is against the rules of this forum and let you know i have since got the ROUTER connected... Fucking assholes...

  2. ok guys, so this is what i have, i have a few 4 channel choices and i need to know the correct way of putting this thing together. im not a noob but just wanna know the best choice of amps and speaker configuration.

    in my truck now i have 3 mtx 3404 amps wich are (50 watts x 4 @ 4 Ohms) (100 watts x 4 @ 2 Ohms)(200 watts x 2 @ 4 Ohms (Bridged)

    i also have a JL 450/4 v2: wich is (150 watts RMS x 2 and 75 watts RMS x 2 at 1.5 to 4 ohms) (300 watts RMS x 1 and 150 watts RMS x 1 at 3 to 8 ohms)

    and i also have a memphis mc4.125: (RMS Power 4 Ohm : 125W x 4) (RMS Power 2 Ohm : 180W x 4) (Bridged Mono Power 4 Ohm : 360W x 2)

now as for speakers im finishing up my fiberglass doors and each front door panel is gonna have

2- 8 inch quantum qpm8c speakers (MAX POWER: 275 Watts) (RMS POWER: 175 Watts)

1- 6.5 inch quantum qpm6fn speaker (MAX POWER: 245 Watts) (RMS POWER: 125 Watts) IMPEDANCIA: 8 OHM

1- 1 inch quantum qpt1d tweeter (MAX POWER: 300 WATTS) (RMS POWER: 150 WATTS) IMPEDANCE: 4 OHMS

and each rear door is gonna have.

    1- 8 inch quantum qpm8c

    1- 6.5 quantum qpm6fn

    1- 1 inch quantum tweeter

so how do i tie all this together and what amp is best for this setup?

give each pair of 8" its own mtx amp, bridge them so each speaker is getting the 200, just set the gains correct and you'll be fine.

Use the Memphis to run the 6.5s, giving each 215 RMS.

and the tweets all together wired back to 4Ohms on the 300W channel of the JL.

    Should be fine :)

  3. Hey guys, im currently at college doing an undergrad course in computing

I have fucked around all year and am now on the rush to get all my assignments done (they are mostly already late :S)

I'm not asking anyone to do work for me, just pretend you co to my college and fill in this short ass survey so i have some results in it haha

    Thanks, you guys rock

  4. Always wondered about this. Like the collections of head units, amplifiers, and woofers, and other audio accessories. After they all get passed around and we sell to each other and then set for so many months or years in storage. What happens to them? Yes I know they get older and collect dust and such. But if something ever just gets tossed out does this piece of equipment go to audio heaven? I was thinking about how the equipment would feel it goes from hand to hand, install to install, shelf to shelf, or whatever and gets older with time. Some gets put aside and forgotten. With so many sales between everyone here and other forums it makes me wonder where certain equipment could be after its journeys between installs and owners and going from storage to storage.

    LOL You're high aren't you ;)clapping.giflol.gif
