  1. fyi u can run welding cable for about 3 bucks a foot and is rated 300amps up to 100 feet. tomorrow i'm running 2/0 welding cable
  2. with cca you lose 20% of your power. i went cheap and got the sound quest wire and i'm losen 30% power and i'm usen it for the jumper wire between my to batteries. front battery reads 14.2 and the rear reads 13.4
  3. thats all i have xtra
  4. 2 channel and its only 4 and 8 ohm stable like i said its old school
  5. eclipse 34230 from what i found out about it it does 550 watts at 4 ohms per channel. and yes its been on craigslist for about a month again no bites
  6. if i can get 200 for my old school class a/b eclipse i'd give ya the 200. but things here like all over the U.S things aint selliing as fast. i've have my rocker for sale for the last 2 months and no bite
  7. if i can get my old amp sold. and depends how much your asking.
  8. reason i'm asking is i'm thinking about getting one of my own so i have a genral idea what i'm hitting. i'm also putting a bigger alt and new pwer wire in 2 morrow. so if i test it again with the inside temp cooler it should read higher
  9. he has his in alil box so u can carry it around. i placed it on the dash windows up and the in side temp was bout 75 or so a/c off.
  10. how accurate is the db meter on the epic 160? my local shop used it to meter my jeep and it said it hit 141 on a mike jones track.
  11. my voltage drop is between the batteries almost a full volt thats why i'm doin 2/0 welding cable
  12. i'm hopen after the switch both batteries will read 14.2. not sure if this will effet the voltage but i'm running a 250 amp fuse at the front bat and right before the rear batt i have a 175 amp fuse. he ran out of the bigger fuses and usen this til he gets more in. then i'll do 2 300 amp fuses for the batt. and use the 250 for the rear batt to amp
  13. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=fQj9iYJXHX8 try that this is a test vid. i'll redo the vid if it works
  14. haven trouble uploading the vid from photo bucket if any one can help im me
  15. 25hz with just battery power
  16. and hell it handles 300 amps up to 100 feet. right my front battery at idle reads 14.2v and the rear reads 13.3336. it has to be that crappy soundquest wire. and yes the rear batter was fully charged before i installed it.
  17. well in a week or so i will upgrade from the factory 90 amp to a 136 amp off a 97 my ride is a 96 jeep grand cherokee
  18. only reason i'm redoing it is the shop here sold me a sound quest kit and that stuff aint worth a damn
  19. the local napa carries copper ring style lugs up to 4/0 and like i said its from battery up to my rear battery. but would it be over kill to do the big 3 in 3/0 lol
  20. redoing the wire between my 2 batteries. which would give the best flow. and yes i'm going to use welding cable because my local audio shop wants $6 a foot for 1/0 and i can get 3/0 welding cable for 3.50 a foot. and 2/0 for 3.00 a foot and 1/0 for 2.75 a foot. and all rated to do a full 300 amps up to 100 feet
  21. so which is better the epicenter or the bx 10

  23. i'm going to a local welding shop and getting 2/0 welding cable. it holds 300 amps up to 100 feet. its ugly but it will let the power flow
  24. well since your jeep is basicly same as mine just do the big 3 in 1/0 get a 130 amp alt from a 97 and xtra battery under the passenger side cushion run 4 from there that 8 gauge to thin for that amp
  25. i have the amp all hooked up now and tried a 4 ohm load and whats a 1 ohm load dont notice the difference in sound or power
