    VCM and are you looking at 14v batts and a 16v charging system or 16v batts and an 18v charging system 14v batts ok on stock 16v batts need special stuff or you will get the magic smoke

    Edit: 18v charging system is not for the......... how do I say this w/o coming across rude, well lets just say if you have to ask dont do it.

    Hey Fraust. Are you set on the equiptment? If not maybe give us some rough cash numbers and get ideas of what might give you the most bang for your buck and be reliable. The neon is going to take some serious abuse so your gonna need to start by deadening that bish. the dual alts???? does it have A/C. I'm not really familiar with them but I dont think theres much extra room in there. I have a friend that wants to do duals on his little Hyundai and I know its gonna be tight.

    Maybe post this in the DC Power section and they could hook it up I bet

    BTW HT it wasnt me that was asking John about those amps but he said your truck pounded with only one t4k running

    well first off who are you 2 cause I was out there all day in my shitty subaru that josh fucked me on. but yea joshs tahoe sounds good on music he only plans the cds i made him of decaf from months ago and he only plays luniz i got 5 on in really other then that its just a spl tahoe. and Im going to SoundWorkz to talk to Murphy since I really liked Aarons Red Chevy with 6 MTX 12's in it and Im willing to spend BUCKETS OF DUCKETS Im getting a job on the North Slope as a Crane Operator at over 100$ a hour so I dont think money will be my main issue lol

    Not sure it would sound "good"with 4 18s and what appeared to be stock door speaks(I dont know what he has for highs as they were in the stock panels) but i would have liked to hear it.

    Murphy seems like a good guy talked with him quite a bit.

    Mostar didnt seem that cocky, I talked to him for a bit and he seemed level headed.

    I wasnt saying you couldnt afford it just stating that it would be fairly expensive to get both.

    100 and hour in prudhoe running a crane, cool, who you going up there with?

    Hey Pride,

    Yeah his ride did 153.6.... @ 63 hz w/ 12K running to them. If you want your music to sound good and beat his score your prolly gonna have to spend buckets of duckets. Or you could build 2 boxes or and interchangeable port for the spl runs. I tried to get him to do a musical demo as he said it sounded real good on music ... but to no avail. I was actually way more impressed with the guy that had 2 BTL 18s and a sundown 3500 to each hittin 152.

    if you dont want to spend the money no. just get a bolt or screw the same diameter as the ring connector. Its best to ground to the frame if possible but not always necessary. Just make sure if you ground to the body under carpet somewhere scrape the paint clean past the primer to clean metal, dont ground to painted or dirty surface.

    Watch, now the whole seatbolt or seatbelt bolt vs. body vs frame debate will start.

    Yeah that price is right in line. Its usually cheaper if you buy the equipt from the shop, not much, but a little.

    This is a real good forum(SMD) for getting started with building your first or most recent system, from what i have read there are quite a few very knowledgeable people willing to help. Im always stoked to see someone that wants to learn(and doesnt have any bad habits from previous teachers) you could prolly do it yourself but if you feel more comfortable have someone else do it then take it apart to see how they did it.

    Is this your first amp install? A few tips if it is

    Keep low level away from high level i.e. rcas away from power and spkr wire

    scrape paint away from grounding area keep grounds as short as possible

    make sure your polarity on fronts is correct/ wrong polarity=no mid bass

    nothin special but it will save you time and noise in the long run
