The hop alt will help and not work as hard as your stock one but as long as you have two yellow tops or a yellow top and a xs batt it won't work it as hard I would try to batts and if you still need little more power then put the hop alt on but I think you will be good with two batts

If I was you I would go with a yellow top and if you still drop a lot add an xs power batt for a 2nd power source but I have a red top and a yellow top plus a 5fard cap and I sit right at 14 volts

Yes Ground to the frame or that will happen cuz the body will not ground it the the car sees it as a short and wont start but if you can get to your frame sand that spot down vert well and even if you need to you can always drill a new hole hope this helps you out
So just finished getting everything put in and hooked up. Everything worked wonderfully. So yesterday I decided to start on my Big 3. I did the Battery to Chassis ground straight from the battery negative, to a bolt on the inside of my fender maybe 3" from the battery. That is the only one I had time to do, so I hopped in the car to leave, and it wouldn't start. It had power, but the starter wouldn't engage. I double and triple checked the terminals and everything was tight. So I took that wire off that I had just run, and the car fired right up. Any ideas?
