here are some cut outs for the box
measure the width and height of the opening of your trunk, then the width, height and depth of inside of your trunk
See, I will eventually build a box on my own but I have no skill with box building or wood work so I'm just gonna get a prefab box for now

do u have the piece for the head unit to fit into the dash? i have one i just took out of my moms 98 tracer that would work with yours....

So, is gonna be my first build ever! I'm only 16 but I've been loving car audio (and really audio in general) for years now. This is gonna be a slow build since one, I don't get ahead of myself and mess it up and I'm not flowing with money haha. I'm gonna be asking a lot of questions and please give your opinions!! So, on to the audio!
The car is a 1997 Mercury Tracer. It's my sister's car but since she is in college in the city, I drive it like it's mine (hopefully I get my own car soon. I want to start out small. Maybe 1 12' in a ported prefab but....I don't know how to measure how much trunk space I have to play with. I want to replace the factory speakers which are 6 1/2 in the front and 5x7s in the rear. I also want to replace the headunit.
I already started one the fronts. I replaced them with Kenwood KFC-1652S. I already love them but I will be wanting to upgrade soon.
Headunit- Alpine CDE 102 (still not sure but leaning towards it)
Front- Kenwood KFC-1652S 6 1/2s
Rear- Undecided (Maybe Kenwood KFC-C5782ie)
Sub-Undecided (suggestions?)
Amp-Undecided (suggestions)

Just look at feedback next time before you bid, it will tell you quite a bit about a person. If they have really low feedback as a seller just avoid them, pay a dollar more to someone with more feedback. I know its kindof a pain in the ass, but thats what the internet has become.....good luck man!!! Ebay definately is not a bad place, there really are good deals and good people you just gotta dig a little IMO!
Yeah, I started to read his reviews after I bidded so I was really hoping someone would outbid me. But it's over and done with. Take it as a learning experience

Ok, a little update. He just ends up telling me he sold it to someone else. That's fine because Idgaf at this point. I tell him to send me a cancel transaction request and he sends me a message only saying "ok" and my name and my address after that. I can't believe this fucker is trying to intimidate me over some bullshit.

I've told him to send me the cancellation request and that his is breaking rules. So he tries to make a deal with me saying he'll lower it to 10! Unbelievable!!
I told him one more time to send me the cancellation request and we will see how that goes. If he doesn't, I'm just gonna go ahead and report him. Some people out there are just ridiculous. -

Did you ever get a message from Ebay saying there was a price change?
Yes and I have the invoice from ebay saying it went up.

So, I win an auction for $20 and the shipping price was listed was $4.00. But after I win the shipping price goes up to $20. I ask the seller what was up with this and he tells me "Because I wanted more for the item". I told he I will only pay the listed shipping price or not pay at all and he says he will file a case against me if I don't pay. Who is in the wrong? Should I have to pay for that? I was just going to ask for a Cancel Transaction Request from him but I'm sure what to do. Please give your opinions.

No, we did have a ported box in there are one time but my dad wanted the sealed box for SQ. If it was up to me, I would of went with ported.

Ended up getting An Alpine CDE-121 headunit. Should be here in a few days. Also Narrowed my subs down to one SSA Dcon 10 or 2 Sundown Audio E8v2 Still have no idea on amps lol.
