  1. whats your external dimmensions? Doing 2 separate chambers and a common port, the most i can squeeze out of my car is 3.2-3.5cubes around 35Hz....i could narrow the port, but i don't really want to.... drop below ~15sq/cu

    37w x 15h x 22 1/4d. 2.5" wide for each sub the a 5" main port
  2. Well the terminals on the mono amp act as just one terminal. So both the positives are on the same lead, it's just for wiring convenience.

    Ranger is right. The + and - leads are connected in the amp as one terminal. If you are still confused just use one set of terminals and wire the subs up as normal.
  3. I really REALLY recommend more sub volume for each W7. W7 recommends that low of volume so people can have smaller boxes and also to protect the subs power handling better.

    I did a box for two 12 w7 giving each 3 cubes and tuned to 35hz.

    It slammed the lows and to this day still the best sounding subs i have heard. Point is w7's can handle big boxes very well we had them at 2400rms on that box and it took it like nothing.

    At least do 2.5 cubes net each and you will see why when you hear how great it sounds.

    I agree normally I'll give 10's 1.5 cubes and 12's 2-2.5. To account for box rise. Bigger the box louder the bass.
  4. I've seen theis things tuned to 40-42 and still get low,

    Have fun with the build

    How much power you throwing at them

    Running a MB Quart 1500.1 @ 1ohm. They should be happy until I do a Fi recone and bump the power to 800 rms, then might run a second 1500.1 for giggles.
  5. Some may have seen that a couple weeks ago I scored 2 12" RE SE's at a pawn shop for a c-note. Been playing them in the sealed box they came in. THEY GET DOWN! So now it's time for them to move in to a new 4 cu.ft 32hz home. Thanks to Joe X for the design.

  6. Here is another suggestion for two 12" RE SEs (no kerf though):

    Enclosure Specifications:

    Fb = 32.7 Hz

    Vb = 4 ft^3

    External Height = 15 in

    External Width = 37 in

    External Depth = 22.25 in

    Port Width = 4 1/2 in

    Cut Sheet List:

    * All Dimensions in Inches.

    * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

    External Enclosure Parts:

    2x Front = 15 7/8 x 13 1/2

    2x Front Internal = 14 3/8 x 13 1/2

    Back = 37 x 13 1/2

    Left & Right Sides: 20 3/4 x 13 1/2

    Top & Bottom = 37 x 22 1/4

    Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts:

    2 x Front to Back = 18 1/2 x 13 1/2

    2 x Extension = 6 1/8 x 13 1/2

    Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

    Any questions let me know.

    Hey Joe, i know it's bad but i have never put 45's in a box before. How wide or what is a good size for a 45? Will 2-3" be good?

    I think 45 degrees is a good angle for 45 degree angles.

    Thanks capt obvious. But the 45's can 2" or 5".

    Thanks bro looks real good.
  9. Just want to get all dimensions. Want to build a rock solid box once.

    I'll tell you what, give me a little bit and I'll draw up a sketchup of it and pm it to you with all dimensions.

    But definitly practice kerfing before you kerf the large pieces, cause I messed up a couple pieces :pardon: it's all trial and error till you get the hang of it. Lol

    Sweet thx bro.
  10. Here's a design I did for my 2 12" dc level 2's.

    It's 37.25 x 15 x 18.

    212ssketchup-1.jpg

    It would be no prob to drop the width a 1/4" to hit your 37" max.

    I'm actually building the box right now in my spare time. Pics are in build log in my sig.

    Nice design. Few questions though. I'm used to slot ports so I need more info on the kerfs. How long are the port walls? Width of the port.
  11. Best suggestion is sell those REs to CleanSierra. That's the best design I can think of.

    Seriously though, we can help on this. There's a guy that does AMAZING kerfs on here, let me try to remember. His Avy is a slammed dually I think...

    No can do bro. But I can give you a funny story rewired subs to 1 ohm. The box gave way after 2 min. One sub jumped out the box with all 8 screws in the subs screw holes. Hate particle board boxes. Lol.
  12. I have 2 12" RE SE's. Want to go ported. Hoping to get designs for both slot and kerfed ports. I mainly listen to hip hop, r&b,and dubstep. Gonna be powered by a mb quart 1500.1 subs are dual 4's here is some info

    As far as trunk space. I have 37w x 15h depth is optional to make up airspace.
