    well i have this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23875_MB-Quart-ONX1.1500D.html#tabs and pulled the trigger on the 4ohm sa-12 figuring if i have room in the future to add another, but were talking 6-12 months, it is going to be "professionally installed" and tuned as i don't want to have to deal with all the electrical components of the bmw.

    the specs say

    1.75 ft^3 ported tuned to 30 Hz -- F3 of 26 Hz

    * Tune higher and use a smaller box for more SPL oriented setup (Use 1 - 1.5 cubes)

    * Enclosure can be as big as 2.25 ft^3 with lower power levels

    so if say i found a box like http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19279_Sonic-Sub-Box-1SV12-Black-Carpet.html

    says 1.8F^3 would that be good? or do you recommend something different for 1k w?

    im guessing youre wiring it to 2ohms. and i doubt that amp will put out the 1k its rated at. i would wire it to 1ohm with that amp if you havent gotten the sub yet and build a box at around 1.5-1.75 cubes. sa's can take the heat like no other

    speak to sicaudio from roe and he'll tell you everything you need to know about hifonics. idk who here knows about hifonics like he does. hes an authorized rep. hes tested several brz's if im not mistaken and swears the new brz/bre's do rated at 12.6. sooo...

    i currentley have a 4.5' ball python.

    and this was my 7' columbian boa, had to have him put to sleep about 6 months ago,the vet said he was around 18 years old.

    he just stopped eating,and started loosing weight pretty fast.

    oh sorry to hear that bro. but i want a ball python super bad. i love large snakes :) *no homo* lol my corn snake can grow up to 6ft long but they dont get as thick as pythons tho

    You may want to add braces between the ports. Also that speaker cut out is too small.

    Google sketch is a good measurement tool...it's very accurate, That sub cut out is way to small....unless that was a bracket.........and I've seen ports like that...with no small braces in between them...blow right off from the pressure hitting against them.

    you're not going to hear a significant difference (if any) in 600w. shit, you'll lose more than that just in box rise and voltage loss.

    what is box rise and voltage loss from what? Do you think ssd's could take 1200 RMS loaded? (I'm new at this)

    the ssd can take 1200w of unclipped power with no sweat. box rise is when you go from 1ohm nominal to like 40ohms as the cone moves in the enclosure (as an example) idk how to explain it but im sure someone here can. and voltage drop from not having a good enough electrical to support the amp. say you sit at 14.4 but once the bass hits the amp will draw power and voltage will drop to like 13.4 (again an example) but upgrading your electrical can help with that.

    Thanks I always love it when people say the lvl 5s sound good, everyone says they arnt musical.... wish I had all my power to demo with next time ill give u a real demo full tilt wit all my power, and way more than just 1 song sorry man :lol:
