Wire ar. 5 with good electrical. M2a and aq2200 can handle it. So as other quality brands like sundown etc. Js
-
hahaha thats great. anti bitchin system
-
you can. but people usually just stick with the same brands. just gotta make sure there are fully charged
-
hmm now im really considering on getting a skar 15" to stick in my daily box thats 3 cubes @ 31ish hz on a brz1200 i got. lol anyone wanna trade my OA15 for a vvx15??
-
ya that box is a lil too big if thats 3.5 net. build one at 3.0 and tune a lil lower and make sure to set the ssf and gain correctly.
-
woow thats is so fucking awesome!! wonder how much time that was put in
-
Get rid of the cap and get another or two batteries. Build one box for you subs tune in the 40s and meter legal. On the dash. Its easier to get high numbers in the kick.
Then let us know what you get and go from there.
-
Well I can hit a 143 with two subs so 4 I shoud b hitn a 146 or 147 so 3 db ain't that far off plus I have them in two different boxes
143 on a tone?
what meter?
where did you take your reading from? kick, dash, headrest?
maybe at the port..
but op, dont think its that easy. whats your current set up? electrical?
-
150 ain't easy and you're not even close with that equipment. You're gonna need more power. And the proper electrical to back it up and more cone area with a properly built enclosure. Do some reading and research a lot before thinking about trying to get a 150
-
Just because its closer to the subs fs. I wish i could say the same about the vvxs but that would worry me about how well it would sound. In my opinion tuning below 30hz is kinda pointless. If im not mistaken Chode is tuned somewhere in the 40s and apparently he plays nasty lows.
Yes it depends on the sub, enclosure design, cabin frequency, and other factors.

If you need help on a design shoot me a pm.

If that's the case, i'm sure I could accomplish that by building a different boxI have a pair of vvx 12s and am very satisfied with them. Im running about 1700rms to the pair and they barely get warm. They are great subs but i doubt youll notice a gain besides playing the lows a bit better. Those sa's can take a bit more abuse than the vvxs too.
Yes id recommend building a new box for them. They do require a lil different net volume and tuning to sound the best.
-
i say get them and give em a try. can only tell if you own them and experience their sound. i kinda wanna give a skar 15" a try once i get the money
-
hahahahahaha priceless

If you were here long enough you would see how out if hand and pointless these vs threads are. Everyone have their unique taste. Pick one and be happy.

Ya. Never heard of ace either. Where you hear them from.
-
Any connections came loose? Other than that might just be a bad alt.
-
i wouldnt.
do level 4 soft parts and youll be pushing the limits.
maybe add an extra stiff spider. and make the box a little on the small side
i have two 3's with 4 soft parts and they take 2200 daily. they stink a little at full tilt for a while. but they handle it
Thanks for the info. I have an oa15 on 1200 in the box I mentioned in the first post and when playing a song that hits the lows on full tilt it gets smelly also. But it handles it and sounds good lol
-
is the dc lvl3 able to handle 1200w of clean power daily? thinking about trying a 15 out in a 3ft^3 enclosure i got
-
A Dayton Titanic maybe? Same basket at least.
You can get almost EVERY sub with that style basket
Lol true a lot of subs nowadays use that style basket.
-
Doing the big3 will help to prevent voltage drop. So will taking out thag cap you have. I say get rid of it and hook up another batt in the back. You'll notice the difference.
-
Where did you get that guide? I'm just like you and love this hobby and am too interested in making this my career man. Right now just been doing local stuff yano. But I want to get big.

The lvl4s will love that and take it smoothly if you set it up correctly.
