All it takes is 1 copper strand reaching from positive or negative over to the remote. Tape off the exposed wire towards the amps...make sure nothing is touching bro
-
I always thought mixing batteries was a bad idea?
Apparently mixing agm and wet cells is bad. Which is why you just replace the wet cell up front with an agm battery before you just "add one to the back".
-
Well I was thinking more along the lines of front battery delete/relocate to trunk . hence 2 batteries in the trunk. Also Going to do all wiring in 2 gauge. (big 3) runs to trunk) and batteries to amps
Then the 2 hc's in the back will be fine.
-
1 batt in the back as long as you had 1 up front would be perfectly fine...
Then again as i'm sure you know you can't really have too much power..
-
So how much did you pay for it? Sexy as FFFF
-
Ohh another thing. I unplugged the harness to alt. Let it sit like 10 minutes. It charged 14.0v for a minute or so then dropped off to 7.5 again
What meter are you using? and the car runs with the battery at 7.5 volts lol?
-
Uh dead battery.......
Maybe it had died often in the past and was hanging on for dear life, all it needed was to be drained once more.
-
What "hits hard" varies from vehicle, box, and equipment.....so lol.
-
the wiring on the alt and batt are junk, i just ordered some knu 0ga so it should be night and day difference, i've heard the jeep on 14.5v and its easily 4x louder than it was in this video. will be another vid when the big 3 is done.
Yeah I wanna order some too, but halloween horror nights or 1/0? lol
-
I think you have other problems...110a alt and an extra battery should be FINE for that amp lol.. Sounds good
-
Ok ill turn it down more when i get home. so is it the amps or the subs giving off the smell?
Subs lol...take a crappy speaker and hook it up to an amp that will fry it. Once it smokes you'll have something to compare the smell t o.
-
Well when a cop goes to search your vehicle and gets the piss electrocuted out of him, enjoy your lawsuit?
-
LMAO...this reminds me, the other day I got called into a room to set up a projector because "it won't work".
They had the monitor run to the projector via VGA, and the laptop which they wanted to run the presentation on, connected to the desktop which normally used the monitor. I actually laughed on the spot...

dont worry about erasing. hit that bitch with a hammer in the middle lol.
or you could freeze it and then thaw it out
or you could stick a big ass magnet on it. Or spill water on it. they aren't going to test it
#1 You can use a drill to make a hole through the platters and all the data around the hole can still be recovered.
#2 not exactly sure how freezing and thawing out a magnetic item will demagnetize it...
#3 as for the magnet..you need to open up the HDD in order for that to even be a possibility.
^^thats all if he's worried about data recovery.
If its just for dell to see that its fucked, then open it and take the r/w head and scrape it across the platter and close it up lol.
-
You just basically answered your own question with that all caps post. You will need to thread the holes...when you say the bolts are stripped people tend to think you mean they're stuck in their holes and the heads are stripped. So how about you give more information and be more specific the next time you fucking post.

Check the jumper settings on the cd drive and placement of the ribbon.(if IDE). Try booting w/o drive plugged in?

2 minutes after you posted
Heres my article, let me know if i need to change anything, its due tomorrow
I think I still need an appeal to ethics/reason
Online Music Piracy
Would you ever steal from a store, perhaps a CD from your favorite artist? If the answer is no then you should never pirate music online. Did you know that downloading and uploading copyrighted material is illegal? Eighty Seven percent of the music on peer to peer network are infringing material.(Oppenheim 2) Which makes it extremely hard to download something legal. People who distribute copyrighted material can face criminal charges. “It is without a doubt the most important issue affecting the music industry today (Oppenheim 1)".
Music industry’s sales were down 11 percent in 2002 because the use of peer to peer networks was increasing. (Oppenheim 1) If you like the artist’s music, wouldn’t you buy the song so in the future they will produce more music? Peer to peer networks distribute millions of music files a day which is a serious threat to entertainment industries. (Hatch 1) “The architects of this file-sharing piracy make millions of dollars while attempting to avoid any personal risk of the severe and criminal penalties for copyright infringement” (Hatch 1). After someone downloads a music file, or any file, the program automatically uploads it to their network, which makes them a distributer. It is almost impossible for the average computer user to disable this “feature” in the program. (Hatch 2) Would you risk the chance of criminal liability just for a song? Some programs force you to upload every media file on your computer. (Hatch 2) Many people who use peer to peer networks encourage their friends to do the same, making the music industry and other companies suffer more.
Some want to keep peer to peer networks because it gives the artist another outlet to distribute their music. This only hurts the artist because the artist does not make any profit. You should not use peer to peer networks to download copyrighted material because it hurts the artist, music companies, cd plant workers, and the economy. If you don’t have the money to pay for the song, its probably on the radio playing once every 10 minutes. If you like listening to music, then support your favorite artist(s) by paying for their music. There is(change it to are) many different places and programs that you can pay the artist for their music such as: iTunes, Zune, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and many others.
the red is some stuff...most of it i didnt highlight but already fixed

Looks good bro
I just finally got around to sealing up the sub...the cutout wasn't spot on so now the sub is sealed and not leaking air at all. Broken in decent and on some of the lower notes it seems like my hatch and back doors are going to fly off
I'll go somewhere secluded after school tomorrow and make another vid. Sucks living in the old people part of town
-
Looks good. Also so advice if you feel like changing things up. When I was using the hatch of my 2000 xterra the best boz position that worked in mine wat sub up port back at the bottom of the box. That was compared to about 10-12 other box positions.
Nice job tho.
Thanks for the advice...guess I forgot to talk to you before i built it lmao. Was just excited and couldn't wait to hear the damn thing:]
gets low as hell though..woofer hardly moves at 30hz
-
How much power are you runnin?
I need to clamp it and i'm getting 1/0 soon, but its a brutus 2k being run at 1 0hm
-
Power > cone

the first song is damn sexy as hell
I may do another vid some some of psyphs shit like "fo life" "doin my thang" ...those fuckin slam . The sub takes the power like a champ, i'm really impressed Rusty. Guess i'll only buy dc subs from now on
Edit: kinda off-topic, but are the radioshack 8O$ clamp meters accurate? I may pick one up soon
-
got some hatch flex, looks nice
Yeah my windshield actually flexes on the lower notes, but I turned the power down because the woofer was getting a bit warm haha..takes the power like a champ though.
-
