Ok so i got it all running and it seems loudest to the ear around 34hz.. I'll post up a vid sometime today before i rework my amp rack.
-
Triple stacked motor? hmmm did FI ever use those? either way looks like a great deal for 150 lol
-
Sub landed in georgia today, moved the arrival day up 1 day to thursday instead of friday...can't wait to post pics! Ordering amp tomorrow after school
-
Well i already used great stuff to seal it all so if that doesn't hold up to abuse i'll use wood filler
-
was thinking of using this as my amp. Stetsom V 1K5 H 1 Ohm. does it really do over 1500wrms? it just looks so small i don't see how its possible lol..
RMS Power @ 12.6V Mono 1 Ohm: 1500 Watts
RMS Power @ 13.8V Mono 1 Ohm: 1830 Watts

yeah i did the same thing to my first actual box i built
Before this i had 4 jl 13.5 w1v2s. box was tuned around 35...this is tuned around 30hz so i wonder how different it will sound
-
you talking about the port wall?
yeah for smoother airflow
-
looks good man
All except for not being able to 45 the port corners because i didn't have the proper equipment..and I cut 1 side .75 too short and had to glue/screw the piece back on lol, but it seems solid even without sealing it
-
GP 2500? maxxsonics? and take your time on the build measure twice cut once.
Yeah I did but this was my first box and we only had circular saw, jig, and router. Would been SOOO EASY with a table saw. But this was the outcome (was too tired and busy to take pics during build..was fucking 150 degrees in my garage)
When I get paid i'm buying some bedliner and expanding foam to fill the 2 slight gaps..and make sure no air leaks
thats a L7 15 basket for comparison...ignore the horrible circle, used jig cuz router bit wasn't long enough
My terminals..lost a couple drillbits in action today so i gotta wait to put those in, lol.
-
Built my first one today for my 18" dc lv.4...shits a lot of work if you don't have a table saw lol. i'll post pics of mine soon on here if you don't mind
-
Build it post pics, videos and numbers
Lol I might. i'll try to take pics of the build today, but i'm sure ill be focusing on being precise cuz this is my first real box build.
Definitely will post vids when the woofer gets here because i'm gonna borrow my buds amp till i get the cash together for my gp2500
-
you can cut 45s with a circular/skill saw. just make you a straight edge/guide and you should be fine.
otherwise invest in a table saw.
Yeah i got all my supplies ready...wood, glue, dowels, router, jigsaw, and circular saw
-
OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN Estimated delivery Sep 24, 2010
Can't wait!
Decaf designed me a sweet box and gonna make an attempt at building it tomorrow. What should I use to cut the 45 degree braces? Can lowes do it because i don't have a table saw that angles, lolz.

$749 for 3500 is a really good deal. A really good deal, lol.
isn't crescendo cheaper?
-
you mean like this?
Righto...
Yeah um why the hell would u wash it off? Shoulda used a vacuum or leafblower.
-
Itll work, just not recommended...could blow outputs like I did on my 1206 lol, but they do alright if you add fans near em.
-
Waaiiit for it.....
-
hifonics does rated but you cant wire the below 1 ohm
My friend runs his 1206d at 1/2 ohm daily stock electrical...
Guy on here ran a 2k brutus at 1/2 daily...they just get hot lol.
-
Hifonics doesnt even come close to rated power... even in rms
Proof ? Clamped my brutus 1206d at just around 1k...set gain conservatively
-
id do 5.5 cubes @ 30 hz
Thanks that's what I told Decaf to do cuz he's designing the box :]
-
I'm pretty sure the saz1200 would keep up with the rockford 1500 with good electrical bro.
-
Sounds good. there are alot of decent amps out if u can afford it, get the biggest one you can(3-5k) so you have room to upgrade in the future
Well I just ordered the sub and a t-shirt! Can't wait...definitely will post unboxing pics
-
Welcome let me scoot over so you can ride. what you going to put it in and what type of power?
Well i'm ordering the sub today and when it gets here i'm gonna decide on the box, but its prolly gonna be sub up port back in my nissan xterra. I won't be able to buy the amp for like a month cuz long story, but i'll be running an ap1500d prolly unless I find a better deal in the for sale section here:]
-
