Alright, thanks on all the advice guys, but I got them out finally. Now, the motor and basket still won't separate, can't even find the spot where they separate, its like 1 whole piece lol..HELP?
Are they glued together? Torch doesn't seem to be working, lol.

Alright i'll grab an extractor bit tomorrow from lowe's, apparently trying to use a hex just strips the tool and the screw, lol.
-
Drill, extractor bit for the farked one. Heat works too. Or of you are a hex, try finding a driver for it, and tap the end of the hex driver while twisting. The vibration should help like an impact wrench.
By tap the end of the hex driver, not sure what you mean. And idk if i can get an impact driver, lol, but I have a drill

lol, I know, sorry.
What kind of head is the bolt?
If it's philips they are usually large, maybe number 3 or 4.
If its a hex bolt, just a good socket and long handle. Maybe use some liquid wrench to break it. There is sometimes glue on the screws
EDIT: YES ITS A HEX BOLT, BUT POINTS DOWN. Also I think they're about stripped at this point lmfao..this sucks

lefty loosey
As I was repeating in my head the whole time...what's the best tool to use?
-
Yay for chiptunes!
-
Trying really fucking hard to take these bolts/screws out but no matter how much force i put to it they don't budge. Beginning to strip my tool and the screw. Anyone know how to take these bastards out?

Thanks a lot. You can see I've alway struggled with understanding that.
Yeah not a problem, I never knew exactly how impedance rise took place till I read one of the above posts.
-
Ha, if you can't laugh are yourself, what then? So if an amp can handle going under 1 ohm and rise makes it does that, your getting more power? I think I'm getting it Please don't hit me....
Impedance rise, as in rise in RESISTANCE. LESS POWER...lol

I just thought of something. The Crescendo 3kwp has apparently the same board as the SAZ-3000D. The specs on Crescendo's site say the 3kwp puts out 4030 watts at .5 ohm at 13.8 volts. Wouldnt that blow the Level 4? Do you guys think the XLs would like that power more?
Depends on how you set your gains...if you set the gains so the amp puts out 4kw, then more than likely it'll blow them over time.

didnt u make a little video about your jl w7 8 that retailed for a staggering 495 dollars and 95 cents? haha
i think you mean FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY FIVE DOLLARS
AND NINETY FIVE CENTS!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey does that say 1500 at 1 or 2 ohm? Its market out with sharpie.. :X
ah nvm i think it says 2...so is this thing 1ohm stable? Birthsheet?
-
155 at ~60hz???? Sounds painful?
-
Build a new box...thats about it
-
Sounds like your problem...lol burnt up mosfets

You can play 2 different signals to the coils. All you get is the net effect of the signal. So it's pretty inefficient because for example if I sent it 500w of GO UP (this is totally, totally idiots terms here, sorry) and 300w of GO DOWN you would end up with only 200w of GO UP but the sub would still have to deal with 800w of heat.
But it's not going to suddenly explode or tear itself to pieces.
That's the kind of answer I was looking for. Instead of "wow do people actually 'belive' this shit". THANK YOU BOON!
-
its the same shit if you do 1 coil per channel or 1 sub per channel
i gave an example to show how stupid your thinking was
ether way your wrong sub amps dont work like that
Keep thinking that. difference is the coils are wound together and not in 2 separate drivers. One will 'vibrate', if you will, differently from the other one due to different signals. thats like hooking 1 coil up to one song and the other coil up to another song. All I asked was that you educate me on why I was wrong because by no means do I know that this is true for a fact, it just makes common sense.
no need to keep thread jacking when we can just take this to pm
/done

so if i have a sub on the right channel and a sub on the left chanel there gonna play differnt shit?????
i think not if that was the case they would cancel each other.. and have many mecanical problems if both subs where in a single chamber box
I said 1 SUB with 1 COIL on EACH channel. not 1 sub on each channel...no shit you can wire a sub per channel, same concept as 1 speaker per channel. but 1 coil per channel is what I protested against. Can I begin questioning your reading capabilities the next time you try to insult me?
-
wow this is funny
double face palm
do people really belive shit like this?
Then explain it to me because that's how I see it.
Rather than posting spam making me look stupid without even educating me about it.
-
wire it to 2 ohms and be safe lol
buy an audiopipe ap3k the btl will take it no problem!
I was going to say this to begin with, but I wasn't sure if you could run it bridged at 2 ohm since it says it bridges to 1 ohm :x
-
you'll just want to upgrade or get better shit once you buy it. So no, not really worth the 200.
I bought my 4 jl w1v2's in a decent box off craigslist for 300. The subs weren't even broken in yet and still to this day haven't seen over 1kw total. Just search around and you can find a better deal from someone who is desperate to sell it quick.

look at the pics...where the fuck is a space between the motor and basket? idk i cant figure it out haha. I hate this.
