dude, why do car companies make things shitty from the factory?

ok so heres the deal y'all. I have a 1998 Mustang thats sitting on the factory height wheels and tires. In the trunk i have a massive (4 cube) box with 2 Pioneer Premiere 12's and an audiopipe 3000d. Oh, almost forgot the 4 shuriken batteries. So heres my dilema, since I put all this weight in the trunk I've been confronted with 2 major problems. The ass end of my car squats bad as hell, which looks bad. And my ride quality isnt what it should be anymore, especially not rolling on pirellis. To me I think this is a lift application, but I dont want to look stupid or anything. Advice, links to products, or whatever would be cool.
