  1. I'm not familiar with those amps but is there a reason your only using 4gauge for your power and grounds? the amps only have spots for 4 gauge wire.
  2. ok thats the answer i was looking for hahaha thanks
  3. ok, What type of port should i use?
  4. i have 4 12" mtx 5512-44 with 2 ta4501 amps and 4 gauge power and ground wires. 2nd battery hooked up with 2 runs of 1/0 wire
  5. ok thanks. i am a noob at ports so i had no idea
  6. ok thanks, and it is a 98 blazer 4door
  7. Which is better to produce more sound. Port facing back? or port facing up?
  8. So new box dimensions 28Hx40Wx16.25D still need help with port, if its possible with those dimensions.
  9. If i were to make a sealed box would i have to separate each sub within the box or can i just have one big box?
  10. Honestly, you might. You just don't have enough room for 4 12's ported. How much difference is there between the two? (ported to sealed)
  11. Would i be better off with just going with a bigger sealed box than i have now?
  12. http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T5512-44.pdf Page 3 is the ported box for one sub. but i have no clue how i would implement it for all four subs. and no idea what its tuned to.
  13. Prob. going to sound like a noob here but no i really have no idea about tuning. Basically i was just going to go off the specs that MTX gave me for the ported box but wasnt sure if that would be the best thing to do for it.
  14. sorry your right it was supposed to be 28Hx40Wx15D.
  15. I'm in the process of creating a new box for my 4-12" MTX t5512-44. All i need is some ideas on how to port it, so far i have not used a ported box before so i really have no idea on which one is best. As of right now until i get the final dimensions they stand as this 28Wx36Hx14D. I have to remeasure the area that it will be going in but haven't had the chance to do that yet.
  16. they are dual 4ohms wired down to one ohm, and yes they do play in the same direction They are wired in series down 2 one ohm. But for wiring the fuse box should i use the kind that is 2 fuses in one or should i just run 2 separate runs? what is the coil configuration on your subs? If you are at one ohm, is your amp one ohm stable? when your subs play, do they both play in the same direction?
  17. There is bass blockers that your just put into the speaker wire. I got 2 of them for my speakers and they work great. and the distortion could be that you are putting the volume almost to max. i believe most Kenwood HU go up to 35
  18. They are wired in series down 2 one ohm. But for wiring the fuse box should i use the kind that is 2 fuses in one or should i just run 2 separate runs?
  19. 500watts rms. but if i dropped down to 12 gauge would that hurt my system at all?
  20. What size wire should i be using to wire my subs in? i have 9 gauge right now. the reason i ask is because when i am playing my music it seems like only one sub is on, i thought this might be my wire being loose but i have checked all my wires and they all seem to be in.
