ok this is an example, i dont know if its right but if yall could help me with it i could understand better(yes i know i fail at paint but whatever)
-
so here's how i see it, when you bend to each side you devide port width by 2, and when you bend port length you also devide the remaining length by 2 also? ex. if your port width is 4 when you bend to each side each will get a port width of 2??? and if the remaining length is 10" each side will get 4.25" right? -.75 of mdf.
-
yea lol im confused now. where did the 1 inch come from? the port area of each bend?
-
^^^ yes sir exactly what im trying to do, so port area would be constant after bending to each side? can't really tell by the angle.
-
allright thx, man ill give the link a go in the morning as for now im off to bed thx to all the people who helped.
-
i just used the question as an example lol still in the learning process.
-
so if the port width of the enclosure was 4" when i bend to each side it'll be 2" and if needed a port length of 22 and my first length was 11.25 i would bend to each side 5"+.75 of mdf?
-
lets say i have an enclosure fitted for 2 12"s instead of doing the ports on either the left end or right end or dual ports i want to do it in the middle, my question is do i have to keep the same port width when i bend to each side? and the other questions i asked.
-
any help would be greatly appreciated, any input????
-
when i bend to the sides i have to keep the same port width? and measuring through the center still applies right? oh and i need a length of 22" if i have a depth of 14 and a length of 11.25 (not using baffle as port length) before the bend how much should i add to each side, minus the .75 of the mdf?

lol i know how the concept of bandpassing works but reason i said that, is that the(pictured above)amp's low pass crossover has a max of 150HZ so i'm thinking that the bandpass feature on it is of no use but then again i dont know i have no experience whatsoever with it, thx for chiming in tho and thx to the other users aswell.

here's my results but i kind of had to press the headphone into my ear cause there's loud music outside, idk if that's fair..? -
yea sorry not using the amp it was just a question, so lpf 80hz and then hpf 4khz or hpf at 80hz and lpf at 150hz lol?
-
...how would it work then??? how would i bandpass the mids? idk this amp confuses me.
-
exactly my point, so the bandpass option is pretty much useless right?
-
i dont understand the concept at hand, ive seen other threads regarding the same issue but i can't understand fully, so instead of thread jacking i guessed id make my own thread. i dont own this equipment i just have a question about it, it has a bandpass option but how would i crossover the mids? lpf goes up to 150Hz, and hpf goes up to 15khz. http://images.sonicelectronix.com/images/414319/big/zxi6041k.jpg

what would you compare them to bro? Type R's, L7's, L5's, DB Drive Platinums anything around that area, reason being that's almost all they carry locally.
