  3. Ive heard this like it creates a ground loop and something about starting your car spikes the volts and could fry your amp but it wasn't too clear on the process of how this happens
  4. I wanna see if anyone has reasons as to why not to do that. If you do or even just a thought to why not post away. Always good bein the devils advocate ha
  5. Ya now that you say it thats a good point. The battery grounds and even if someone had 0 guage Amp-Battery it wouldn't matter if you had 8guage Battery-body.
  6. I have a 2008 Dodge Charger. If you don't already know the battery is located in the trunk. Is is good or bad or neither to ground your amp directly to the battery negative terminal? I don't want anything like no because that increases the chances of the wires touching. If you perform a quality installation and secure the wires properly this is not of concern. I have done a little looking around and haven't found information placing it as a negative thing to do except for one user comment that was talking about a ground loop. Using common sense and logic it seemed that connecting the Amp ground to the negative battery terminal was an acceptable option but as always I worry too much and have to find out the facts ha Let me know what you think. Lets try to get someone with good knowledge on the topic on here too
  7. Have my equipment picked out now for the electrical... Still saving :(

  8. the solution for the big wire into 1/0 gauge ports is adapters. most places that sell weilding cable have 4/0 cable to 1/0 terminal adapters Sonicelectronix.com carries them to
  9. Where did you get that 87dB info? The orion sit itsself says 30dB http://www.orioncaraudio.com/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=515
  10. haha my bad i meant only 6050w that was a mistake on my part. here is the link http://www.orioncaraudio.com/Products/Subwoofers/SubwooferChallenge/
  11. Go to orion website or you can actually on youtube and look up orion challenge. They rate at 4000w but have potential up to 66050w. Look it up bro
  12. I have been thinking about getting some Orion hcca 15" 4000w max 4" excursion but then something popped out at me 30dB sensitivity?! That seems outrageously low. for something that can handle 4000w with that low of a sensitivity its no wonder it can truly play up to 6000w. What do you all think about this? Any reason behind it? What are your feelings about Orion HCCA
  13. Quick question everyone. Is power Acoustic a reputable brand? Worth buying an amp from them?
