  1. Exactly, Had to basically turn on the system start tone, shut door and let it roll. After shutting the door it's has to stay shut 30 seconds so I had a tone playing for 30 seconds mostly. 153.1 Was my best number that day, I was as cautious as possible don't need damaged equipment. Lesson learned now.

  2. On saturday I attended a 2x points event hoping to get some points as the finals will be regional this year and apparently west coasts version will be in San Fransisco.

It was quickly brought to my attention that u can not be in the car for db drag with 140 db or higher.

Not knowing that rule was mistake one. You can bass race up to 150 in the car but not db drag?

I checked the rules they state....

The contestant must be outside of the vehicle while the vehicle is being metered and all doors, windows, and other openings to the vehicle must remain closed during this time.

Exception - Competitors may remain inside of the vehicle during metering provided:

They wear adequate hearing protection at all times. Removal of the hearing protection while inside of the vehicle will result in immediate disqualification.

The competitor's maximum SPL never exceeds 140 dB. A measured SPL in excess of 140 dB will be recorded as 140 dB.

The competitor must sign a dB Drag Racing entry form that includes a waiver stating that the competitor understands that "exposure to high sound pressure levels may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss".

Shit...The competitor must sign a dB Drag Racing entry form that includes a waiver stating that the competitor understands that "exposure to high sound pressure levels may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss".

where was that? not knowing rules mistake #2 uh ya it could huh....ok for u bass racers though

I had my remote in my other car Mistake #3

Mistake #4 got sun burned again...Damn that I shoulda learned.

  3. I think I get discouraged based on knowing all the heavy hitters are out there. I've been in "Good standing" for half the day and right at the last minute somebody like Steve shows up and I get bumped.

Shit I get Encouraged! when big doggs roll in, I know i could possibly lose and thats kicks it all in. I really hate 2nd or 3rd trophys they don't get half as much love as a 1st! Good competiton is what I am their for if they light me up, it will be motivation. If my cars louder so be it.

  4. I kept it around 150 all day, it was fine. It had more but didn't need it!

Other then King SUV and dued with 6 15's...defintely one of the louder cars there.

Will get the batterys and maybee the alt in hopefully before the next show.

At the first run were full batterys they at the lodest as it went on mostly kept up without a hitch.....

On a side note: My car must hate SPL. 3 out of the 4 last shows I been in the car doesn't wanna start between runs...

Damn things been 100% reliable for me, I just don't get it.....

  5. you have 8k watts and no alt to back it up? wooo weee. how often do you run through alts and batts?

Actually were working on a plan to fit 3 2400's in the hatch and one in the front. I have a alt just haven't installed it.

Theres a show on sunday and thats gona take some time to get that all figured out.

I coulda just popped the 2 T2001 in but figured why not give these T4001 a shot!

Just got another CRX but it's a Si with a sunroof.

Between working on it, my house, and just making sure I show up for the next event keeps a basshead busy!

    Not to mention future upgrades!!!

  6. the subs he has are the rockford trf. You still runnin the 12's or did you find some 15's?

It's the same 12's, I found the .5 db when the battery finally got charged back up.

It's all on a stock alt so not a lot to back it up.

Question on db drag does the car stay started?

I think I am in the SS 1-2 class but really have no clue.

3 or 4 batterys will be the next upgrade I shoot for.

  7. Hell only Snafu from the RF forum was who had told me the T2001 would work well.

Since he has quite a bit RF experiance (and works there) I listened

I was wondering what u guys would think.

Actually he said u have 2 T2001 add 2 T2001 will be plenty.

Those series don't gain much power at .75 from 1.4 but they are stable.

It would be cheaper to add 2 and 4 would look tight if they would fit....

Likely gona go t4001 mainly due to size...

But damn it would be nice to just add 2 cause what am i gona do with these now?
