yellow. the truth behind db's is yellow. the brighter the better. stickers help too, especially if they're yellow...but it's not the same as say, gel coating your port yellow.

well the point of this thread is to try prove which battery is better for deep cycling, red top or yellow top...im not saying that either battery will like being deep cycled repeatedly, but to say that a "regular ol' leaky battery will perform the same or better than an optima seems funny to me. but any way this is strictly for red tops and yellow tops... i have no doubt in my mind that there are better batteries than optima out there, but this thread is not the place for them...
bottom line: when it comes to deep cycling, would you use a red top or a yellow top
i think you'll find the answer in my initial response. red tops /= deep cycle.
and ftr -- /= is does not equal.
ps -- ftr = for the record.
pps -- ps = post script.
ppps -- pps = post post script.
etc.

RED TOPS -- not recommended for 'parking lot pimpin'. meaning, they need the alt and recharging/maintenance to stay alive.
YELLOW TOPS -- deep cycle, but don't expect a hell of a lot of full cycles.
BLUE TOPS -- exact same as yellow, but with 2 extra terminals for marine or w/e.
i've had diehards last longer than optimas. optimas typically will not last longer than any other leaky lead acid battery for a few reasons. it's said that optima's like 16v to fully charge. they are sealed. 16v + sealed = boil. you boil a sealed battery, kiss it goodbye. Even at 14v that thing is heating up. sealed/gel batteries dry up while charging just like a leaky lead acid battery...but you can't just add distilled water to it.

srsly, lets be realistic here, look at golf the same way you do car audio -- you don't need the biggest, baddest whatever to do the job. You can get what some would call a shitty sub (the type r) to do some nice things, right? using the same car audio analogy -- i'm not talking about brand name everything and dumping $2000 on a denon deck with $10,000 worth of Kimber Kable rca's that don't even include ends. I'm talking the "denford", RF's immitation denon deck that does the exact same thing for 1/4th of the price.
a decent deck will run you in the $500 range......used. You're seriously saying $500 can't get you a "decent" set of used clubs on craigslist?
$1 says if you were looking to dump your $1500 (retail) set of clubs on craigslist....you'd be happy taking $500 for it.

88db efficient, 100w max power handling. it won't keep up with all your mids. that's a sub tho, might not play midbass very well.
it *looks* impressive in terms of huge magnet and surround, especially for $51. good luck fitting that thang in a box up front

good luck. there were only a small handful of loud trunk cars in the past few years (loud = doing > 150 legally). mike stiers is one and rawdogg with the old orion car that mysteriously caught on fire is the other.
they weren't musical boxes at all.
