-
tu put it simple...let just make an SQL box or just a simple ported/sealed box and buy some SQL subs....which i dont do neither of them
-
oh come on really??
it sound drunk to me....

Sorry, forgot to convert the values here . The manufacturer is tuned above 40Hz and inappropriate for you

umm....what?
i dont do this build for SPL....its more like sql it for my own musical taste...
-
what are the RMS rated at?
might be intrested.
-
can you get me a box that is tuned a little lower? like 28hz?Here are the manufacturer specs:
http://www.ground-ze...s/gzhw-38x.html
They recommend 80 liters net on 1K.
-
after lookn over the specs idd recomend 3.3-3.5net @29-30hz
what car?
how much power?
all stated in my sig...either way my car is a Opel/Vauxhall Corsa C
the amplifier is a DD m1b...aorund 1600wrms at 13,8V
-
So, today i pourchaused a Ground Zero Hydrogen 38X, or its a 15˝ dual 2ohm subwoofer with a FS of 19.3hz...so this project is for the lows...mostly
my space dimension
55cm/21.7inch length or depth-
114cm/44,8inch width--
53cm/20,9inch height---
GZ sub specs in this photo

im sorrsy but im trying to type from my em...sort of a tablet computer and is a little difficult
and the frequency i would like to be from 29-32hz...
-
i dont think we can....we got rules....i think
but you can check the webs or FB for som decaf, loudnlow or bigpimpin....or some other guy.....
-
Well here is a suggestion (for the car in the sig):
Enclosure Specifications:
Fb = 35.5 Hz
Vb = 3.15 ft^3
External Height = 16 in
External Width = 40 in
External Depth = 16 in
Port Width = 3 3/4 in
Cut Sheet List:
* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.
External Enclosure Parts:
2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 40 x 16
Left & Right Sides =
Side 1 = 14 1/2 x 13 3/4
Side 2 = 15 1/4 x 13 3/4
Front = 35 1/2 x 13 3/4
Back = 40 x 13 3/4
L Port Internal Assembly Parts:
Front to Back = 10 3/4 x 13 3/4
Extension = 11 x 13 3/4
If you want something different let me know
thank you sir!!!
thats exactly the design i was looking for...

So.... my current box slams but i hear a lot of aero port noise... it sounds like whistling and i still have a 6˝aero port....
The aero broke on me 2 days ago so im out of bass....
I am in desperate need of a SLOT Ported box tuned at 35 maybe 37hz
They will be powered by an DD M1b at 1 ohm so each of the sub is seeing 700wRMS of power..
Space is not a problem...
-
personally...i would like to see some Skar audios...VVX or just Obsidian´s....their builds are just rare...
-
it si as C Fizzy said... about the alpines radios...
for all of the 4V(on some radios) output you just need to turn the sub level more like to 14/15, but at 15/15 or the max sub level the clipping starts
-
yeah...gain which was set after that and the subsonic filter...
could it be gain matching? i have seen this before when the amp was not getting enough signalthey are very tricky subs and need no break in time so i would say you need to try a differnt design
had some amplifier settings off the mark...so now they sounds pretty good but the lows dont get so much attention...i mean....i can feel 27hz so strong but when it comes to 26hz....nothing....tested with test tones and music....26hz and bellow there is nothing...subs move like crazy and no sound...just air
-
gonna post some video soon how was the box set in the trunk... today i set the box on the back seats, with the port facing toward the trunk...it sounds waaay louder...and cleaner..

I usually have the SSF set 3 below tuning. It's not a wall, so its not like you're not playing anything below that
so today i installed my fifth sistem....2 pioneers 3002 D4 on 32hz...my subsonic is set at 24 or 25hz, and it moves a LOT of air....but no sound at all...and the subs moves like crazy....
-
so if the tuning is around 32hz the subsonic would be 24hz?
-
so i installed the subs in, the box is set to 32hz and the subsonic is set to around 24, 25hz
the thing is.....there is a LOT of crazy wheel flex and some other flexes....but no sound....
am i maybe playing too low?
-
so today i bought these pioneers TS W 3002 D4 12˝....2 of em for 160€ (around 180$ for 2 subs) did a box also with a 32hz tuning...now let the fun begin-.....but first i need my car....back

wall....you will fuck up the cargo space...then it is a mess to clean up
a friend of mine did a wall in a VW Golf, sounded nice but it sucked when we got to get the wall out and to clean all that shit..
