  9. Could i ask how you flared the port? got dny photos of the process? David
  10. Wow those things can move! Liking the port on that box! Post up some more vids
  11. He said that the highs amp is only hooked to batt and ground, no rcas or speakers, so its just ideling, should not draw much current at all. What size wire do you have for positive and ground runs? And what amps are you running? Let me know if the rca fix makes any diffrence. Should eliminate the wine aswell.. David
  12. I n some headunits there is a micro fuse between the main ground and the rca ground, you might have blown it, happened to me on my Pioneer HU. the fix is this: http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=002066;p=0 give it a try my friend, it might solve your problem. always disconnect RCA's befor you disconnect amp/HU grounds!! good luck, David
  13. Man we have all been through this.. Heck i spent the last 6 months trying to fix a monoblock amp, changed out nearly evry part until i got it working, but ive lernt alot in the process.. Dont give up so soon, just takes some time to rule out each possible cause. Check fuses, and make sure all settings on the headunit are set correctly. Try hooking up an ipod straight to the amp and see if there is any diffrence. Check check check.
  14. Did you dissconect the positive lead from the battery when installing the second amp? You might have reset the headunit settings
  15. Are both amps being fed by the same signal? As in, is there only one RCA set feeding both amps? If so try unpluging the mids/high amp and see if there is any diffrence in volume, if there is then reset your gains, or get a headunit with two RCA outputs atleast - It will make a huge diffrence! David
  16. What box u going for? How many cubs and tuning Fq? And whats the specs on the old box? Vid looks good man, shits bumpin!!
  17. tight track, got loads of lowzzzzz... anyone wanna do a vid? David
  18. got the system.. need the car

  19. hey, do you still have this amp for sale? willing to ship overseas? thanks, David
  20. dropped the amp back in.. getting B+ (as in 12v)on the RCA ground!! got this reading on the DMM when the amp was turned off so i assume it would still have B+ on the signal ground when on. anyone seen this before?
  21. If i put a 100 ohm 1/2W resistor on the ground between the amp and HU would it do any good? either way ill go tmrw and get some thick healthy ground wire, run it straight from the battery! hope that does the trick
  22. something just came to mind.. both amps are grounded to the same spot, yet only the mono block seems to be grounding through the RCA's..therefor i think something is F@#cked in the amp. which is a real bummer for me =\\. where should i start from? i guess the DC-DC power supply would be the only possible cause.
  23. I've just put the amp back in (took it out and opened it up to investigate.. all seems well, been through it with the DMM), but for some darn reason the amp is grounding itself through the RCA's.. As i put the fuse back in near to the Battery, the RCA AND the HU ground wire started to heat up. maybe i should connect it straight to the battery after all.. funny though how it happens suddenly like that. David
  24. I wish I could, would go for a Sundown SAZ-1500D.. But the small amount of cash i do have at the moment pays the bills.. lol
