If you bought that ZX1000 for 70 bucks I say youd got a good deal, as for the subs you got rocked. lol What he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
FI SSD 15"....

guess im kinda smiling because its a state law in Kentucky that all mirror and glass are to repaired by insurance company......free
Lucky SOB... lol

Do you mean the pole vent?
Ninja'd... it probably wont be noticable by ear, maybe just a tad on the meter.

I dont see 15s happening at all. 12s would definitely work well. As for a box design, play around with Google Sketchup since its free. I dont know if you want to go over the wheel wells or not but port up, or drivers side would be ideal. Port back (for me) was worthless, but thats probably because my box was 25 inches tall
Edit: you wont be able to do 51 inches wide, unless youre building the box inside of the truck, hence it wont be removable. 44" is the max you can go (I know )

Wish i knew if they were/or going to work on a 12in SMD prototype
It would be taller than it is wide. Now THATS a woofer!

Nice! I have a z-5500 as well but the sub's on its way out...been beating on it for 3 years so I guess it's had enough...
Those z-5500 prefabs are pretty nice for what they are, and get rather loud too
Ive had mine for almost 5 or 6 years, bumpin the crap out of it everyday! I got mine at a complete steal too... $210... now all I see them for over 400 bucks, so I lucked out on these things, and I love em.
thats pretty sick iv always wanted to do one of these or a t-line for my home theater set up
Do it!... its well worth it

Alright Ive been bored after work this week, so Ive decided to build a bandpass box for my 10" z-5500 woofer and see how it sounds. This is my first bandpass box so I went with the 3/1 ratio.
Designed by me of course, tuned to 40 hz with 15 sq in of port per cube.
On to the equipment!
Who ever said all prefabs are bad?????
Me giving it a quick sanddown
Heres what the rest of it looks like. I built these little boxes during the winter (while I was bored also) They get hella loud
Will eventually paint it, but good enough for now! It hits a hell of a lot lower and louder than the original prefab box.

is the box going to be laying down? or standing up. If its horizontal. flush mount. if its vertical just surface mount them unless you love crushing your fingers.
Thats what flathead screwdrivers are for

Maybe rip everything out and start from square one? I know that will take a lot of time, but perhaps worth it. Ive done it a few times changing systems... lol

Ive owned a few different Klipsch computer systems, the 2.1s, 4.1s, and 5.1 promedias, and Ive loved every single one. (all of them still are working)
But since Paul Klipsch' death in 92 the company reallyyyy took off in different directions, Im sure if they made some I would buy them.
-
I had a box from them with my old kicker L5 a few years back.. they are definitely well built and sound great.

Its people like this who put our country to shame.... give her the chair and get it over with. I almost think her children should be taken away if shes that stupid.

154db?
He never said it was legal. For all we know, it could've been a Scosche meter in the port.
They are in a sealed box

Wait wuttttt? lol.. you dont hook up RCA cables and remote wires to subs if thats what youre asking. speaker wire
I ment from the amp.. amp to deck. If i have 2 subs hooked up to the amp do i need to run 2 RCA wires to the deck lol. The subs are wired together at 2ohms.
Ohhh my misunderstanding
But what they said ^^
