What specific program would be better? Names of programs...?
Some like 3DMax, Inventor, AutoCAD... which the last 2 are about $4,000
Damn. Makes me want to finish my lvl 5 18 that I was working on. I even busted out the calipers and the micrometer on that shit.
DO ITTTT! I didnt do quite that much detail lol, just looked at it and drew.
came out nicely, Steve's signature probably would have been hard to recreate
Thanks! but yeah I tried to get it, but the shape of the dustcap wasnt letting me work on it haha
looks good...VC is a little small but it looks good...also whenever i see a pic of the SMD w the peg it always looks bent...WTFAAA
Yeah I saw that lol But it probably gets bent in shipping most likely, I guess I dont know if they have them on the woofer when they ship them or not.

how long did it take you to design and draw this? what did you use autocad 201?
Design: none at all... Draw: about 4 hours And still Sketchup LOL
if you wanna know how to fix that problem i can pm you some pics step by step to making a surround?
That would be great!.. this was my first woofer Ive built so I had no experience how to do the curves and all that jazz. Didnt come out too bad though!
-
yeah man hold ctrl while you use the eraser and it will "hide" the line without getting rid of the surround itself, ive created a few subs on google sketchup, it works
and it will take all of 2 seconds to go over each line?.............its just an idea though that will make a big difference
Yes I know It helps a little but still shows the outline of it pretty good though
-
xs power d1400 sence u said batts sax100.4 sundown stuff dc stuff just throwing ideas at ya
Ill try those two sometime...
Like I said guys I can only do so much with sketchup Now give me a $3,000 program, and I think it would be a tad bit better
-
hold ctrl and erase the lines on the surround, spider and unwanted lines on teh basket? just an idea to make it look that much better......Nice work though
Cant erase them, otherwise it will delete the whole surround, spider or whatever. But I can hide them, but that will take too much time just to do that
-
can we request some amps and speakers for you to do?
Sure!.. not saying they will all get done in a day but as long as I get some good detailed pics then it shouldnt be a problem!
-
Awh, The normals are all, Fucked? Still cool nontheless.
Yeah I know.. I was throwing a fit trying to get it to work
Damn dude! How the hell do you do it?
Practice my friend, and no life. But mainly practice
Damn bro your on a roll.
Haha thanks man, I just keep trying different things... maybe batteries next?
-
thats nice u have a talent sir
Thanks man, appreciate it!
Not bad. But its not very detailed. Youre missing a signed dustcap.
I tried foreverrrrr trying to get the logo on there, but it wasnt workin with me. Maybe Ill have Steve sign it through my screen
-
Alright, this is my first time doing a woofer.. so I took a stab at it. Im happy with it! I just couldnt figure out how to put the logo on the dustcap since it was awkwardly angled but you get the point.
It isnt as detailed as I wanted it to be, but what do you expect with a free program, doesnt have all the bells and whistles as I would like but it does the job
Same pic??? I think not...
-
what program did u use? i've done some work with AUTOCAD 2010 and AUTOdesk Inventor before. and they are very easy programs to use. Looks good though.
Are you talking to me? Or the guy above?
I used the free Google Sketchup if you were talking to me
-
teach me your ways oh grand master
P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E Thats all I got hahaha
You have some badass sketchup models! I have a question though, Can you put some of them up for download? If not its fine, Its your work i understand.
I tried to upload the T15k on Google Sketchup library but its 22 mb, and their library is 10mb max I could probably pm you zipped
-
thank you very much. you nailed it man. whenever you do get around to the internals it should be pretty interesting. i cant wait to see if you do an SMD.
Doing it right now actually
-
Alright Bass_Stalker requested I design his amp, which is a Memphis Belle 6 Channel. I will start creating something different then amps, maybe some batteries with the internals (which will be new for me lol) and perhaps try some woofers. (SMD?? or TSNS??) Any who here it is... Im sure you guys are getting sick of looking at my designs
Ill do the internals some other day
-
This is almost the same design for (6) 15s that I am planning for in a Xtreme Blazer, looking forward to seeing this!
-
Really suprised you actually got that close!.. lol love the helmet too
-
That second woofer took everything like a champ!
-
-
lol. reminds me of when i bought my 16 12s before i had any idea of what i was doing for enclosure or how much airspace i could get xD
Still need to get a demo of that new SOB when you get it done.... I go to DMACC in Boone right now
-
So I take that you bought (12) 15s? If i read that correctly? And this is your first post? First of all do you have the electrical to even start a big build like dissss?
-
Definitely wouldnt want to cross any of those when its pissed off! Beautiful though
-
-
Better yet I spy a lvl 6 18 in the top right of that pic
I spotted it first in his thread of the yu kong! I win.. lol
