  1. what was that rant all about?

On a side note, I have a $180 pair of Lebrons and they are great, no squeek at all....but they dont look or feel as good as a Jordan IMO.

Again though, until they figure out the problem, im done buying them....

Crazy how that works huh? No they are not any where near as good as Js that's not what I was saying just that they don't squeak hahahaha. Maybe Nike does it on purpose? I know it suxx but the squeak is worth it to me I like to be loud hahahahaha. Like you said the Lebrons don't look or feel as good as Js but they do have some cool styles I have a couple pairs look at the Air Zoom Lebron II's. Again not Js but they have their own style and if your not gonna were Js you can always go old school with the G-Nikes(Cortez's) for real though if your not gonna buy Js then what are you gonna buy? Starburys dont squeak ahahhahahaha na just playing.

  2. most dampeners even say that they are a "mass added dampener" when you add mass to ANYTHING it lowers the resonant frequency. the objective in a car is to lower the frequency of a "rattle" to a "flex", in layman terms you're making it heavy enough that it resonates so low you can't hear it anymore

problem is, you cant feasibly make a car stop resonating completely (well you can, check out alma gate's bronco as an example. not all of us can dump hundreds of pounds of concrete into our cars, but she did and it worked great) so what all us normal people do is something "good enough"

the thing about the stuff you see on the market, like damplifier and dynamat, is that they use butyl to stick and conform and add mass, and an aluminum layer that also adds mass as well as a bit of ridgidity(and keeps all that sticky stuff where it should be)

you can use bedliner, but make sure it stays elastic when it dries, if it doesn't there is a good chance it will chip off because the panels will still resonate.

How would you make sure that it stays elastic?

  3. I have the same problems with mine and I think it has to do with the fact that the are not a good of quality as they used to be. I still buy them though and probably always will. If you need proof that its the shoe go buy a pair of Lebrons and they don't squeak. I know its sounds crazy cause Js are the chit but the Lebrons are made better some of them look good to never will be Js though. I have even tried leather softener on some of mine (cause its not always the sole that squeaks) and that didn't help. The guy that said something about the glue is probably right it's the best explanation that I have heard. Really though in the end it don't matter cause I will always buy them squeaky glue or not. :drinks:

  4. speaker wire grounding out. could be the speaker terminal in the door or in the wire. ive heard that noise a couple times and that was it each time.

I have had the same thing happen to me before and it took me forever to figure out that this was the problem. I would start there and see what happens. When the speakers are making the noise is it a constant noise or does it pulse?

  5. Thank you. I will be doing a demo video of the 200x4 in action with some real voice speakers real soon I am in the middle of setting up the bench in my spare time so keep your eyes posted for it. I am thinking maybe like 8 12" Eve's on one side and like 8 tweets on the other something to show its tru power. .... LOL

OHH chit thats gonna be crazy. I have been waiting to see those 12s you got in action. This will be a sicc way to show off the amps and the EV's

  6. thanks for the help guys i contacted maxxsonics but they dont wanna seem to return my email for some strange reason lol. im gonna check around on that idea of having it tested to see whats wrong with it and hopefully theres some way to tell if its a faulty amp or if i just somehow blew it up which i seriously doubt i did. if sonix takes this amp back im gonna take my money back and go for the rockford 2500

Good choice on the amp. Look at the Sundown section in the forum they are having a sale on used refurbished amps. They have great deals on top of the line equipment and not only do you get a bad azz deal on a nice amp but you get a 1 year warranty with a company that has good customer service. Not saying anything bad about RF you will be 100 times happier with either one of these companies. Good luck hommie.
