  1. Removable baskets on all subs! :peepwall:

Rusty u allreay know I love the 8" idea, I've been wishing you had them for a while.....

Honestly I just don't think the 8 needs work, its an amazing little sub as it is! I have a bunch of them, one is been in a tline one a 1.2k at 2 ohms (780rms) for over a year no issues. I've put a saz 1500d to one of them.... even played around with my 5k on 2, only thing that happened was I seperated the spider from the tripple joint.... in my opionon not the subs fault, it never stoped playing and I threw way over 4x of rated to the pair....

  2. a 7hp motor is going to be rather large size wise.

hell the 5hp 220volt motor on my cabinet saw in my garage is huge. I couldnt image trying to tote around a 7hp all over. LOL

    Hell of an idea tho!!!

Im sure with a correct pully size you could get that alternator spinning pretty fast, but once a load is on the alt the rpms will drop drastically

    .

But like Tony is saying, I kind of have to agree with that. I know under full load my high output alternators claim to use up 16-18hp each.

How the horse power from a vehicle differs to an electric motor I dont know, but Id assume Horsepower is horsepower no matter what type of motor,

I agree with tony any you....

but my comment goes to show the difference between electric power and gas (motor) etc power...

So most people have rode a dirtbike.... ever rode a electric dirtbike tho?

They are wild.... insane amout of torque # for # vs a gas bike its much much quicker, but they top out very fast....

Electric motors have really advanced over the last few years same with the batteries

My bike has 18nm of (force) seems like a shitload cuz its all upfront unlike with gas

The new ones have 64 nm and 54 horsepower..... nuts if you ask me

    Look up zero bikes :)

Thoes bikes sure make it seem like that thing would work

  3. Isn't the reinforced surround rubber?

    Did I miss something

Fi uses a un reinforced surround (no strechy mesh inside), where as the dc, I thought used a rubber one with mesh for the reinforced ones, then the lower levels like the lvl 2. 8s sure seem like foam... they look rubbery and are rubbery to the touch....

    EDIT:

    for pics and

    Rubber is way better

    End of thread

You are awesome at backing up statements.

    :lol2:
