  1. Scraping together some funds. Got some wire for sale.

Item(s): 2 runs of Knu KCA 1/0 CCA (totals around 29 feet)

    Price: $45 Shipped CONUS

Don't want to split, and local sales are always awesome.

1 run is Blue, and is split where it was fused. Altogether about 15 feet or a bit more. Not terminated.

1 run is Black. Terminated on one side. Little more than 14ft.

The section that was split for fuse (2ft)

PM me for more details. I've also got a shitton of smaller 3ft and less runs.

EDIT: just realized the date is off. Getting updated pictures now.

  2. I just moved my car and when I turned off my engine, I noticed a very faint hissing/bubbling noise coming from my battery. I've read around but I'm not sure exactly what's causing it and if the battery is in any serious danger. My alternator will charge cold at 14.9-15.1 for a few minutes and fall to about 14.6 after driving. Am I over charging it with the alt? Or is it because it's a relatively new battery? Bought little less than two months ago.

If you're dead set on soldering and only have the closed end ring terminals, just solder them like Audiofanaticz does it. Skip to 1:54 to see how. Honestly, I would suggest crimping. Easier and faster. Just make sure you use a hydraulic crimper.

Parts express has some Fuse holders for cheap, I picked up 8 of them recently. Very good deal.

As for fuses, just search ebay for ANL fuses. Search your desired amperage and you'll most likely find what you're looking for. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller.

  4. Buddy mine bought some AP wire.I wasn't really all excited ..jacket hard. Pain ass yo trim.just me.

I agree, it looks very similar to my DB Link 1/0. I know the way the jacket is on my DB Link, its stiff as hell. That jacket looks very much the same.

I agree, Just pulling this small part of the wire from the spool I could tell it was pretty stiff. Hopefully it wont be too stiff, I've got a small engine bay lol.

  5. thanks for shooting the vid! now that the system is tuned and gains on amps are up its way louder! But thats what i get for finishing up the build at 3 am the day of the competition! i will post sum new vids up next weekend at a local show we are having here in vegas!

    It wasn't even tuned? 0.0

Hey, but you gotta do what you gotta do right? lol. Hope to see this thing on the meter with everything tuned man!

  6. Thought I'd post these pictures here to give a clear idea of what the wire looks like.

Not completely sure if it's true OFC, I wouldn't be able to tell/test it. IIRC, I read somewhere on here that true OFC is silver. :unknw:

So far, the only issue that bothers me is the jacket thickness. Seems to be uneven in some places, though it might be that one specific spot i stripped. Once I get my fuses in, I'll redo my big 3 and let you all know about the flexibility.
