it doesnt, but if hes running each amp at 4 ohms vs each amp at .5 his electrical would need to be on par for how many amps it will be pulling
yeah, i got that. like when he was asking what ohm load, so that would say how much power the amp should be using.
-
ive been reading that the larger a box, the less power you would need to use. since it has so much air to push, too much power can be bad. less air means more motor control so more power. maybe this has something to do with it? the fact theres so much air and a lot of power, almost the full rms?
-
depends on how many subs you're gonna run and at what load.. but should be good enough...i would say go for it
why would it matter how many subs he is runnin?
-
jackie chan and sammo hung have some awesome kung fu movies. sammo hung could really move for a bigger guy. fist of power is awesome, it stars the guy who took jet lis roles in once upon a time in china 4 and 5. vincent zhao i think was his name but cant remember. also so close. who doesnt like 3 hot asian chicks kickin ass?

are you playing songs or test tones?

yea i wanna be public enemy loud... which i already am in this town but i mean straight up smd loud like you guys.
me too, although i bet your louder than me. i currently have 0 hooked up, lol. i have all my equipment, just not hooked up, lol

Do you have the manual for the amp? That's what I was linking to, stupid thing seems to be broken. Page 12 I believe shows how to do it.
You connect the BD-sync cable between the amps, then connect amp 1's RCA out to amp 2's RCA in. Set the phase switch on amp 2 to 180 degrees.
Wire your subs up for whatever load seems suitable... I can't be bothered mathing it out right now sorry. You need a final load higher than 2 ohms, not sure if you can get an optimal load really. In fact I'm pretty sure you're screwed, oh well.
Then you wire amp 1 + to sub + and amp 2 + to sub -
Then you join amp 1 - to amp 2 - with a really short piece of 8 gauge and you're good to go.
Except you're probably not - the only kinda sensible load you can get is 1.5 ohms total which gives 0.75 ohms per amp and if you don't have some badass electrical support behind it 0.75 ohms/amp will probably let the magic smoke out.
ok, i tried wiring the way you stated, but i think i might have failed. or im not understanding it correctly. im sure youre busy so i do appreciate the help you gave.
what i have is a dual stinger alt kit with dual 220amp alternators. i have purchased a 300amp alternator from iraggi but thats probably going to be awhile before i get that. i have 4 xs power d3100 with a yellowtop under the hood. i was told by xs power that one d3100 per amp is good for daily use, but if i want to actually push the amps that i should have at least 2 d3100s per amp.
on a side note...would it be easier if i sold both t4000s and bought 6 hifonics bxi2010s? basically running 2 per sub...

clean. huge fan of ascendant audio and the chaoss make this even more epic. sweet job bro
-
yeah, it was dual 220amp alternators. are you saying i should go bigger? go with who? ill work on this then, i was quoted 1750 installed
but on a side note, is anyone able to help me? still looking for guidance on how to wire these three subs to 2 amps. someone said i should sell these and buy 3 similar amps to make it easier...
-
do you mean like just batterys or wiring, alternator, and all that? i was going to let the shop d that. they sad i would need twin alts and had a stinger kit, but its only 2 220 amp alternators.
and what does it mean when it says an alt is 220amps?
-
1) Nick from Fi told you what it is and that is 11.25" diameter single slug
2) "magnet weight" is a bullshit spec that mainstream companies throw around as a marketing ploy,...but means absolutely nothing.
i understand this, but really im only curious.
-
hoping i can get some help. i have taken the car out of the shop and brought it home. i wasnt able to opent he link you sent, it just keeps closing out the window im on. he finished my box but thats it. i guess the best way to learn here is to do it myself. please, how do i wire both amps correctly to 3 subs?
-
thanks. it doesnt really bother me, although im curious as to why a majority of the responses didnt answer the question, only tried to flame or make fun of. basically i was only curious, which i said in the post. i have aa mayhem 18s, not installed but working on it. really it was just a question for someting ive always been curious about.
-
the subs are ddual 1 ohm voicecoils. i really do appreciate it, any help brother isawesome.
i will read through the link but im not gunna lie, might not know what it is im readin right away.

i honestly thought it was weak sauce

Bump for help...
-
always been curious and wenever i get to the fi website im not findin it...anyone know what they are? someone tried telling me they were 200oz magnets but i highly doubt him
-
ascendant audio mayhems, i believe the rms was 2500watts per sub
-
hesays i should buy another t4 just to make it easy for everynpdy but thats kind expensive and i cant find any good deals on any right now.

basically, im pretty new to bass, but not cars. i drive an explorer and a shop is helping build a box for 3 18s. i have 2 rf t4ks and basicaly im wondering how i should wire this. subs are dual 1 ohm and im looking for instruction. the shop said to use sync cables like te guy in the other thread was askin for, but my subs are 1 ohm, not 2 ohm.
i asked if it was possible to wire 1 amp to all 3 subs and then the other amp to all 3 subs. he says hell no. he offers maybe 1 pushing 2 and then 1 pushin the other one. all arein seperate chambers. someone suggested master/slave...but what is this and how do i set that up? any help is appreciated. thnks guys
-
i am a noob to audio but am down to learn.
please explain, i have 2 t4ks but no subs. you said if you dont have sync cables to wire it master/slave? can you please explain how? or what you mean by master/slave?
