ive been reading that the larger a box, the less power you would need to use. since it has so much air to push, too much power can be bad. less air means more motor control so more power. maybe this has something to do with it? the fact theres so much air and a lot of power, almost the full rms?

why would it matter how many subs he is runnin?

ok, i tried wiring the way you stated, but i think i might have failed. or im not understanding it correctly. im sure youre busy so i do appreciate the help you gave. what i have is a dual stinger alt kit with dual 220amp alternators. i have purchased a 300amp alternator from iraggi but thats probably going to be awhile before i get that. i have 4 xs power d3100 with a yellowtop under the hood. i was told by xs power that one d3100 per amp is good for daily use, but if i want to actually push the amps that i should have at least 2 d3100s per amp. on a side note...would it be easier if i sold both t4000s and bought 6 hifonics bxi2010s? basically running 2 per sub...

yeah, it was dual 220amp alternators. are you saying i should go bigger? go with who? ill work on this then, i was quoted 1750 installed but on a side note, is anyone able to help me? still looking for guidance on how to wire these three subs to 2 amps. someone said i should sell these and buy 3 similar amps to make it easier...

do you mean like just batterys or wiring, alternator, and all that? i was going to let the shop d that. they sad i would need twin alts and had a stinger kit, but its only 2 220 amp alternators. and what does it mean when it says an alt is 220amps?

the subs are ddual 1 ohm voicecoils. i really do appreciate it, any help brother isawesome. i will read through the link but im not gunna lie, might not know what it is im readin right away.

hesays i should buy another t4 just to make it easy for everynpdy but thats kind expensive and i cant find any good deals on any right now.

basically, im pretty new to bass, but not cars. i drive an explorer and a shop is helping build a box for 3 18s. i have 2 rf t4ks and basicaly im wondering how i should wire this. subs are dual 1 ohm and im looking for instruction. the shop said to use sync cables like te guy in the other thread was askin for, but my subs are 1 ohm, not 2 ohm. i asked if it was possible to wire 1 amp to all 3 subs and then the other amp to all 3 subs. he says hell no. he offers maybe 1 pushing 2 and then 1 pushin the other one. all arein seperate chambers. someone suggested master/slave...but what is this and how do i set that up? any help is appreciated. thnks guys

i am a noob to audio but am down to learn. please explain, i have 2 t4ks but no subs. you said if you dont have sync cables to wire it master/slave? can you please explain how? or what you mean by master/slave?
