  1. I also looking for old school songs with bass not just bass songs
  2. Where you asking me that? If so, I have an Alpine MRP-M350, I think... I haven't been able to find much info on it.
  3. Most of the line-out converter i've found are less then $40 or so. I need a double din for my car and if I'm going to spend the money I want to get exactly what I want, which will run me at least $250+. Also, this is my daily driver, I'm not putting to much into it.
  4. I'm getting a 2002 Mazda Protege and won't have enough money left over to get an aftermarket head unit. I already have the sub and amp, I just need to know how to connect the sub to the stock head unit.
  5. I'm looking for some old school bass songs. Know of any?
  6. That's what I was planning. I'm also thinking of making the port a little more square, as supposed to rectangle. Give it a little more hight and bring in the sides.
  7. I'm going to try and build it the first weekend of the new year. If I succeed I will post a vid.
  8. That's what I needed. I have very little room to work with.
  9. Good, because this is what I think I'm going to build for my truck.
  10. Is it ok to have the port on the outside of the box?
  11. I finally have every thing planned out! I have a few options to chose from. What do you guys think? OPTION 1: OPTION 2: OPTION 3: I like the positioning of option 1, yet the simplicity of option 3.
  12. Ok. Now That I understand that, what would be a good "tuning"? I'm going with a 12 square inch opening.
  13. What do you mean by squar feet? Isn't squar feet 2D (only a surface) Would that mean the opening has to be 12 to 16 ?
  14. 1. the box is over 1.5 after displacement, with room for a port. 2. the box is shaped like that because it's part of a bigger box and the "cut out" at the bottom back is to make room for the lip in my truck. 3. I do want to play the lows. The recommended box volume for my sub is 1.5 after all displacement. Once I find the right size port I will adjust the box to have a final volume of 1.5.
  15. This is the the box I need help porting. The I would like the port at the bottom (facing forward) but facing up would work too. The box is just a little over 1.5 cubic feet. I left room for the port. I will be putting in a 12" DC XL. As for the tuning I don't know, what ever you guys think is the right choice. Here are some of the measurements.
  16. I've seen it. I would like to throw a V8 in but don't have that kind of money.
  17. I know I should have said this from the beginning (don't ask why I didn't). My truck is a 1993 Mazda B3000 with the original 3.0L V6. It decided to quite on me, which means rebuild or get a new one. I figured since I need to pull the engine out ether way might as well upgrade. I found a 2002 Ford Explorer V6 for sale and this brings us to where we are now.
  18. [quote name='white4d96' date='03 December 2010 - 03:27 PM' timestamp='1291411627' post='1297986' GRANTED it is a lot easier said than done but if you really wanted to do it... It's more have to the engine is finished in my truck ('93 Mazda B3000) and I was looking for an upgrade.
  19. Does any one know how hard it would be to put a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 into a 1993 Ford Ranger(2WD)?
  20. Finally! It is nice to be getting some where. I've been trying to find the right system and now I'm getting some where. I'll let you all know what my decision is as soon as I make it. So far I think DC XL, just waiting for a reply on price + shipping, and the AQ 2200ds will be $868 for both + duties so most likely another $113. So, $981 for the amps.
  21. That means I have to replan my whole box and set up... All well (it will give me somthing to do during winter). Ok guess I will give 2 DC XLs a shot. Now How do I power them?
