Bump! What do you guys think?
-
He is the box I am going to be building.
-
Get a donor car like a 5.0 mustang and put that into it. I helped a friend do a 5.0 swap into a mid 90's Ranger years ago and it was crazy fast when he was done.
Problem is to do something like this the person has to have an understanding of what they're actually doing. By the sounds of it, the OP is not ready to handle something like this. Just my .02
That's why it would be a summer project with my uncle, who does thing like this all the time. Any vehicle he has owned he has built.

That's what I've been thinking of doing. That way I am open to more upgrade down the line. Because I've heard the the 3.0 doesn't have many. I just want to get more input

I would go H/O alt. first then batteries. The stock alt. was designed to charge the stock system, not more. So adding another battery would put extra ''stress'' on the stock alt. witch it was not meant for. That is just my opinion, I am no expert.
-
Either way you should upgrade your electrical. So it's done and then you can run what ever power you want. IMO the hdc3s would be louder but if you already have the sdc2.5s then I would just stay with thoes untill they wear out or you get a realy good deal on a better sub/ the sub you want. Hope that gives you what you want.

Hey, I have a 1993 Mazda B3000 with the 3.0l v6. I want more power. Should I either get upgrades for the stock engine or do a complet engine swap?
-
Sounds like a good night! Happy bday
-
Bump. I still need more opinions with facts.

Screw wall outlets that are stuck in one place. Protability FTMFW!

Ok i don't know if it the fact that I'm tired but I'm still not 100% sure what size I should make my box. I'm going to reread every thing tomorrow, to try and understand every thing better.
But if I could get a specific box size and port size, I can take it from there and try again, and again, and again, until I get it.
And Ray the reason I started this thread was to learn... Which I am so, Thank You!

anyhow on 5k i dont think id do one box mentioned in the thread including every single one of the ones soapbox mentioned.
Your original box as he said though will most likely unload your running 2.1 per sub and using big port area as well as running a decent amount of power. I dont just give out boxes, but the reasoning is because you get guys who try to pull information out of thier ass and apply it to anyone elses build that may be even remotely simular to thiers.
So are you saying I should make the box smaller, say 3cubes total, with the port around the same size?
-
You might need bracing but besides that the numbers look ok.
What would be a typical displacement for bracing? the inside of the box is 12.75'' tall.
-
What would be the best size for the port? it has to be 17'' by X.
-
So basically make the box 3cubes net.
-
I'm going to be building my box this weekend and I want to make sure it's 100% good. It's for two 12'' DC XLs powered by a DC 5k.
Here are the specs with design:
The amps won't be located there any more.

Thanks for the replies. The funny thing is the day I posted this my brother in-law bought him self a Tippmann Phenom and gave me his old marker. So, I'm good for now.
-
Go with AudioTechnix for the sound deadener. Right now they are having a sale. The quality is awesome and the price even better. I've used 2 rolls on my truck so far and am going back to order 4 more. Great product!
Also, glade you like the box.

I'm guessing this is where this post belongs.
I've been paintballing for awhile now and want to upgrade my marker. I want to here some suggestions form other people besides the ones I play with. I play mostly scenario games, with the odd speedball round here and there.
I don't want just the name of a marker I want a reason why.
Thanks!

Here his the official Announcement for Canada post. There may be more on the site but, I just try to ignore it that way when I finally get my package I won't be so impatience.
-
I don't understand what you're trying to say.
Disconet the leads from the terminals and connect them with a wire directly. then connect the empty terminals to the one next to it.
-
Yup, I have a package of terminals already in transit. So, I screwed either way. Why couldn't they have waited another week or so...
-
^
You want to use the second set of terminals...which will not work as those are the second voicecoil. Just use a wire in and wire out.
They would be the voice coil would be disconnected from the terminal and connected ''internal'' so to speak. Then the terminals would be connected together.
-
From what I gather he wants to connect the positive and negative from one coil together with out using the terminals. and then connecting the terminals on each side to it's buddy on the same side. So then he could use each terminal on the same side, one as the input and the other as out put.
EX.
Hope that clears things up.
IMO It should work. A little complicated but hey, that's how people learn new things.
