  1. Okay here are the cards I'm dealt. I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 V6, it's completely stock (apart from the sound system). The stock drive line is pretty good, just not enough for me. I was thinking of installing a V6 mustang drive line (I.E. Engine, transmission, rear axle, and what ever needs to be done to get there).

My question is it possible? Or what are some other options?

Guide lines I would like to follow:

    • V6 Engine
    • Reasonable fuel economy
    • Automatic transmission (It's a daily driver and I don't want to get into too much trouble ;))
    • RWD (Obviously)

  2. why shallow mount?

Well as tristan560 said I don't have much space to work with. I have a Mazda B3000 ext. cab, with the seats in the back. The seats are used often and I don't want the passengers to be cramp any more then they are.

OP have you looked into other shallow subs? Type r shallow, jl's tw5 or whatever it is, or memphis's new shallow. Stereo intergrity has a nice one also.

I've been searching ebay and places like that. Also, I want 10". Thanks for the reply I will check the ones you mention out.

  3. why buy cheap now and save for good you already have the 100 or so now why not save more and get something better and are you set on shallow mount?

I'm going cheap now because all I have is $100. I need shallow mount because I need to put it in the back of the cab of my truck and still be able to carry passengers. I think I'm going to go with the paire of Boss's that way I can keep one and sell the other and make most of my money back.

This is what I think I'm going to go with:

    What do you think?

  4. I just found a Rockford Fosgate P3-SD210 Shallow mount 10" is it good? Also what amp would be best to power it.

Here are the specs from the seller:

    Type Component: Size 10"

    Impedance: 2Ohms

    Voice Coil(s): Dual

    Sensitivity: 83dB

    Peak Power Handling: 600 Watts

    RMS Power Range: 300 Watts

    Free-Air: No

    Surround Material: Poly ether ester

    Cone Material: Kevlar reinforced fiber

    Frequency Response: 45 - 250Hz

    Xmax: 10-13/16mm

    Fs: 45Hz

For the price this may be the one :clapping:

  5. are you just putting in 1 8" sub in 1 door??? cuz thats what it sounds like and that would be pretty lame... sorry

like the others say save up and buy a nice 10... like a dc :trippy: :trippy: :trippy: :trippy:

LOL! No I'm putting... well was going to be putting an 8" in each door. Now I think I'm going to start with the 10" then see what happens.

Ok so what do you guys recomend I should use as a shallow mount 10"?
