  1. hey guys what would be better for the system, like a bunch of yellow tops or one yellow top for under the hood and 2 XS power D3100's???? i cant decide what would be better!
  2. oh damn nice didnt even think of that! haha thanks and do you know how the hell to actually upload the pictures so they show on the forum??
  3. and i got two AQ 2200D's http://yfrog.com/j6imag0090fj http://yfrog.com/9fimag0091ej and coming soonn i plan to either build a walled off box or an up fire box, i still am waiting for my HO alt a 350 amp from alternatorparts.com 350 amp alt with external outboard rectifying bridge! and im going to have 7 yellow top optimas cuz i have MADD hookup on yellow tops for brand new $50 bucks a yellow top from my cuzin! im prolly going to use 2/0 awg power and ground wire , its welding wire lol 00 AWG (-1 AWG) wire haha but i might just use two strands of zero. only thing im not sure about is if i should run a relay inbetween each battery to limit current, or if i should just parallel all batteries together , or run all of em independant off the HO Alt. tell me what you think box will be tuned to 32-36 hz im not too sure cuz i dont know how to account for large amounts of resin bracing on the walls of the box.
  4. http://yfrog.com/0uimag0062vj thats the cash flow from the fast food business lol i have two fi btl 18"s fully loaded, but U.P.S. decided to drop the motha FUCCING thing!! and cracked the basket! http://yfrog.com/6ximag0084tj http://yfrog.com/hqimag0082gj
  5. ok sorry i dont have the ohms law pie chart memorized. but i thought itd look like this, 6000 X .81 (efficiency) = 4860 watts. 4860 / 14.4 = 337 amps. which the amp IS 81% efficient at 1 ohm.correct?? or no? .... anyway so saying we go with these calculations "6000 / .8 (efficiency) = 7500 watts. 7500 / 14.4 = 520 amps. saying the amp is 8O% efficient, youll need to support a 520 amp load" ... i still dont know how size alternator i need do i just take half of that 520amps, so i'd need one 260 amps? therefore id get either a 250amp alt or a 300amp alt. and by the way mechman HO alts only have a single 250amp alt for my vehicle... unless 250amps would be ok and still operable and wouldnt see TOO much voltage dropage...
  6. oh ok cool. so you think one 300amp alt would fit the job?? or will i need more?
  7. two crescendo audio 3KWP amps. and idk if dc makes alts the fit in trailblazers....
  8. i have one yellowtop under hood and two xs power D3100's hooked up to 6000 true watts rms at 1 ohm. which amperage alternator should i get? if i get one 300amp alt(with an outboard rectifier) would that be good enough?? i have a regular trailblazer 4.2L engine, any ideas? i dont think i can go dual alts cuz not enough space but not sure.
  9. damn that did do pretty nuts! only thing is idk how to do that kind of port since generally the port needs to be 3-4inchs away from actual hatch, and my dimensions i came up with so the subs would have enough space would be too close to the hatch to put the port there so unless theres another way to give me cu . ft. that i need for the subs idk how to shorten the depth , unless i build box inside on the TB. haha
  10. exclude all variables, i talking straight up box design and port design, i need opinions! i was thinking build wall for my two BTL 18's, OR just building up fire design box with maybe a CRX style port or standard slot port what you guys think??
