You have an suv I take it?
If the space and dimensions allow...just flip the box. Try both positions and see which one you prefer.
well if i just flipped it, it would be subs and port both up.

its easy for me to say they sound better subs up port back due to me having an suv a 4runner if you got a car which i noticed alittle is subs and port face back
damn it i made my box wrong lol FUCK!
worth it to cover the sub wholes and re-mount them on top?
-
i like the subs up port back but thas just me
k but did you notice a difference with the subs and port back?
or have you not tried it
-
does it sound the same if:
subs up, port back.
or
subs back, port back?
-
yes.
k thanks. you got any videos of your system?
-
once you have figured out what subs you plan on using, take the specs of one of the subs and double it. for instance if one sub requires 2 cubic feet you are going to use four, after you have figured that out find a calc or go to psp.com and use theres to figure out how long your ports need to be.don't forget to factor all your displacement into the box size.
displacement as in the sub + port + the supports?
-
ok ill try.
thanks
-
i agree it probably would ne easier. but the specs for the sub is 3.4 cu.ft. and 2 4"(diameter)x9"(long) ports. i dont kno how to make a slot port close to the 2- 4"x" ports.
im new to this lol. i just dont know
-
i answered there questions. im not sure on what im going to buy yet.
i need to know what i can do first. im not sure how to tune box's with the port.
explain it to me with a random example.
-
lol i dont really know how to tune or anything like that. thats why i was using the specs for the sub.
explain it to me. just give a random example
Please help,

doesnt matter? lol.. im not sure yet. thats why i need to know this stuff.
could be 2 15" power acoustik MOFO,or 2 15" power acoustik FUBAR
could be 4 or 6 12" subs, any brand.
doesnt matter. i need to know what to do.
or is there no solution?
please help,
Jeremy
-
Ok, that doesnt help me at all.
I would need to make a bigger port.. its easier to use 4" pvc pipe.
I still need to know what to do about CU.FT. and what to do with the port.. if i need 2 ports for 1 sub in 1 chamber, would i need more ports if i had more subs in that chamber
Please help,
Jeremy

How do i make a box for 2 subs in 1 chamber?
If the sub needs 3.4 cu.ft. and 2 ports- 4"(diameter)x9"(long) ... Do i make the box 6.8 cu.ft. with 4 ports?
I dont get it.
Please help,
Jeremy

lol. but i made a box that is subs and port back. would it be worth covering the sub wholes and mounting the subs on the top of the box?
