  1. Well, I am 15 years old, about to get my first car. And I know you guys are probably thinking, "Typical Teenager that doesn't know what hes doing". Haha well, its true. But I love bass and music, and getting 1,000$ for the subs + amp is already hard enough, so I really have no desire to try and get another 300$ to get an alternator. So, money is an issue, and just having it installed and all that is just, difficult for me. If I have those 2 Fi bl's in a Honda Accord, running on THAT amp, will it last ? I mean, sure everybody has a risk of the sub blowing, or the amp overheating and dying, but I mean, will it last with a stock alternator?
  2. Hey there, So I've asked a few questions about some alternators, subs, amps, etc. but I am still a little bit confused. I have read on this forum for a good time now, but I still have some questions. I am going to get 2 Fi BL's fully stocked running on a Soundstream TX12600D amp. People told me I need an alternator.. Which I totally do not want to buy. Like, I really do not want to purchase one and install it. Is there ANY, and when I say ANY, I mean ANY other way I could use this set-up without purchasing an alternator. Like extra batteries? My friend has 2 15's running 2.6k watts, and he has had them for a year and a half now, no alternator, no batteries, just subs and amp, and it slaps and is still running fine. Can I do that with these subs and amp? I know there are some risks, but whats the WORST outcome of not having an alternator and batteries? Thank you. -Jin
  3. Well, I honestly didn't know SMD could make me a box? Haha, or I would have said that in the first place.
  4. Uhhhh..... Sure? haha idono, I'm not going to be doing the whole box thing, I'm going to let a professional do it

  6. If you mean by the sound or the box dimensions and all that. If your talking about the sound, then its no problem, but the box dimensions, I'm just going to let professionals do it. And uhh, I live in CA, do you think 30% front windows, 20% back is a fine idea?
  7. Hey there guys, So I am going to purchase a Honda Civic sedan, probably 2004-2005, for just an overall car. No racing, just a car with great audio and rims. I'm going to put 2 15" Fi's BL's in the trunk, running 2.6k watts and an alternator up front. The car will probably be all black, and I want to add rims, tint, etc. I was wondering, do you guys know a good site to purchase rims from? Or any good names of rims? Like I was looking at a 19 or 20" staggered black rims? Or something around those lines. Nothing above 20's please. And for the tint, whats the average tint? 20%? If you guys know anything, please leave a comment. Thanks
  8. Its going to be an 04 Honda Civic LX? Haha, yeah small ass car. Haha, but yeah, like I don't wanna add an alternator AT all, so I'm asking if theres anyway I dont need to purchase one. Like my friend has 2 15's running 2.6k watts and he just has an amp and the subs.. no alternator, no batteries, just the box, the subs, and the amp. And it slaps. Thats how I want mine.. Is that possible? And his car is a Honda Accord
  9. Hey guys, So I made a post recently about 2 Fi BL 15's running on a Soundstream TX12600D asking if this was a good choice. I guess it was if both 15's were fully stocked. But then I got some news that I didn't want to hear. Someone said I need to buy an alternator.. Is that ABSOLUTELY needed for this system? Like, I really hope not because I was hoping to not pay more then I already was, and also, I was gonna work on the engine of my car, like turbo, etc. So, if I don't get an alternator, would it still be fine?
