Glad you posted this! never heard of AP before so thannks! only makes me feel better about getting AQ sooner than later!

the aq is rated at 1200 but it can do more than that with good electrical
like i said on the first reply in your other thread, aq1200 would be great for those 12s, an extra 150 watts per sub is not worth the quality aq will give you over ap, this is what i think
Notice you said good electrical .. Uh oh. LOL. I was going to run it on a stock, then eventually buy a battery for the back. So... We shall see how this goes

The AQ bends the AP over. Aq can do .5 daily and at that load, can easily whip the shit out of the Ap.

So an AQ would slap the .... out of an AP even though AP has more rated power?

in a small system you want something that will sound good. no sense in sacrificing SQ for SPL when the end result still wont be loud. the AQ will help you have a better sounding sub stage.

To be quite honest, I wish I knew what SQ for SPL meant. :/ Anywayss, what do you mean "Cheap and Dirty" . Like, I know its cheap, that's why I'm asking if I should get it
But dirty? Like does it make the sub sound cheap? Or what? And would the AP make my subs knock harder then the AQ? Even though I know a few hundred watts can't be heard, but idk. -
I'm not sure if there's a limit to how many threads you can post in one day, but I posted one earlier, so if I'm breaking a rule, I apologize. So as SOME of you guys MAY know, I've been trying to get my system for a while. And silly me didn't know that asking questions on a forum would give me answers so different from each other, its amazing. Beyond the point, I'm going to run (2) Sundown Audio SA-12's Dual 4 on either one of these amps. (1) AQ1200D or (1) AP15001D.
I heard the AQ is more expensive because it is made with "higher" quality parts, but the AP can do just as much damage as the AQ, and is about half as cheap. Do you think it really matters if I go with the AP? I know the AQ has a LED light that tells me if I'm overpowering the amp, but can't I just but a virtual volt meter and put it on my dash or something? I would really love to buy an AQ2200D but I'm a teenager and I can't just pull money out of my neighbors apple tree. Whoever can answer this question, I really appreciate it. Is there really a DIFFERENCE between the AQ1200D and the AP15001D? Thanks.

Yeah I know. I think I'm just going to stick with uhh. THe AQ1200D. Im pretty sure the AQ1200D, if taken care, could push out more then it offers. As long as I can feel the bass shake in the back seats, and it sounds crisp, I'm happy.

You seem like an intelligent guy. May I ask you a question? Since we're talking about electrical, would I be able to RUN 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's D4 on an AQ2200D with a stock alt. But I'll get a battery in the back, like 2400 watts, or something like that. But I won't have THAT battery until like 2 months after I INSTALL my system. Make sense? Or am I just wasting words. :/

Upgrade your electrical first and then buy the system.
Ehh. I don't need my 1st system to be amazing.. 2 Sa-12's with an AQ1200D would be just fine.

Hey there guys. Is it a good idea to buy the subwoofers + amp before you even have the car. I have an idea of what car I'm going to get, and I'm 90% sure I'll get it. But eitherway, I'm still going to use the same subs + amp no matter what car I get unless it's going to be a SUV which I highly doubt. I want to order 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's D4 with an AQ1200D. Can I just purchase it, or should I just wait?

I don't have a job. I have my money from savings. 800 to spend. Buying 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's Dual 4 (395$) with an AQ1200D (250$), + wiring and all that = maybe another (75$) . Ill probably have around 100 to spend on a HU. But Ill try and find another 300 to buy that Pioneer. And what do you mean Jensen has the worlds best pre volts? Explain more? Sorry for the lack of knowledge. Getting new into this hobbie, and taking as much advice as I can -

Im digging the Jensen to be honest, but I heard its a bad HU.. Not sure though, for the price, it looks good. Does it come with navi? or does it just say navi. Lol cause Im confused about all that navigation stuff. Do you just install it and it automatically has navigation haha

i have a coupe on 17s lowered 2 inches
i would do 18s on a sedan and lower it on skunk 2 lowering springs.....really the sedans dont look good with anything bigger then 18s and the 17s look really small unless your slammed
if you do 19s your gonna need to shave the inner fenders also dont do staggered it looks goofy on 8th gen civics
LOOK up 8thcivic.com then look up "what will my drop look like" and they show all different rim sizes and lowering kits

Yeah well of course, I'm gonig to do the big 3 and 1/0 . So... That should be fine for now, and eventually, when I get tired of these subs + amp and I want something louder, I'll buy a battery, an alt, and go bigger
. But I think I'll be satisfied with this system for a while.
