  1. Wassup guys. What do you guys think about a 2002 Toyota SE as a teens first car. Sure, it's not sporty or anything, but it fits 5, has a decent sized trunk (2 12's), and gets great MPG. I was just wondering, can you make one of these cars look better, ex: rims, tint, lowering / keeping same level, etc.

These are a few pictures of what the car really looks like, but these exact pics are from google.

So I was just wondering on some background on this vehicle.

ALSO, I was wondering if the volts on this car is good. Can it handle an AQ1200D easily? Maybe an AP1500? AQ2200D will def. need an extra battery or new alt tho. Any advice is great.

  2. Heeeeeeeey guys. I was doing some info on a few cars that I might be interested in purchasing, and they came down to this. A 2003-2006 2 Door Honda Civic or a 2001-2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse, both manual. I was wondering, which car would be best for a teenager. There both regular gas, which is a plus and there both fairly reasonable cars. The civic is cheaper of course, but the eclipse is still reliable but is a lot more faster and fun. Which car would you guys pick. I was looking at a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder maybe? Or any 2003 model, but it has to be 2.4 cyl. Any suggestions / comments / reviews about both of these cars?

  3. Well, right now, I'm driving my dads truck. I was just going toss the single 12" in the backseat because no one uses it, and then when I get my OWN car, I was going to put BOTH 12"s in there.

No matter how temporary it was, I wouldn't put a subwoofer in the back with no restraint, especially in a non-trunk car.

Remember the law of inertia? The force that tries to stop this projectile could be the back of your head.

Unless this is a vehicle that is going to stay parked in the driveway. But I doubt that's going to happen.

Well I wasn't LITERALLY going to just THROW it back there and leave it. Haha I was going to bolt it down, etc. etc. If thats what you mean. If not, well, im confused. LOL

  4. I was going to purchase a few SA-12s D4 off this site for my brother, but I came across a thread in another forum saying "dont buy from this site because their products are fake." I just want to confirm by anybody that this site is totally fine to purchase these subs off of. I'm guessing they are because on the sundown audio site, there site is under their dealers. I would pick a different site but woofersetc is located in California, just like me. So if anyone can confirm that this site is fine, please do so. Or if it is a scam, please let me know. Thank you.

  5. I have no idea when I'll get my other 12. But if I build it, could any of you guys give me some dimensons? I'm not good at all that designing and such. Haha. If I can't get a design, I'll just buy one. I would ask RAM_Design, but I heard he asks for money and if I'm going to pay for an enclosure, It would be for my 2 12's. And if I got that box above that I listed, how would it sound off an aq1200D? SA-12 D4

  6. I guess you guys never had a childhood. But out here in CA, 99% of 16 yr olds get stoned.

More like 99.99%. I'm 16 currently and probably about everyone in my school has smoked / smokes weed alot. haha, we live in California, home of the dank.. If teens drink alcohol underaged, we don't care about smoking. Getting stoned is better then getting drunk, that's for sure. One of my friends whos 15 has been smoking at least 5 grams everyday for the past like 3 months.. Not bad haha

  7. Wasssup felllllas, hopefully everyone here had a good 4th of July!! :yahoo:

Anyways, I'm driving now in a 1992 Toyota Truck Ext. Cab, and yes, it's fugly but get's me to point A to point B. I was gonna put 2 12's off an aq1200d in the backseats of it and bolt it down and tint the backwindows and things of that sort, but then I realized my speakers are a little blown. I drove the truck and the speakers got scratchy and sometimes even cuts off for a sec, then comes back on. My dad said there infiniti's 50 watt speakers, maybe there just wired wrong but who knows. Theres only 2 speakers in the vehicle, both in front. Once I replace those, I was gonna put both Sa-12's, but I'll just put one in for now and save the OTHER one for MY car. Do you think a SA-12 can hold 1200 watts on its on? I know its rated 600, but I heard these subs are troopers.. Soo. If not, I'll just prob set the gains or something.

Anyways, here is where I'm going to get the stuff.

    Subs: http://www.woofersetc.com/p-9260-sa-12-d4-sundown-audio-12-600w-dual-4-ohm-sa-series-subwoofer.aspx

    Amp: http://www.audioque.com/AQ1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html

    Wiring: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4

HU: Sony gt550ui (Havent found exact site to buy off yet)

anyways, the main question here is, how many watts can I put on a sundown sa-12 D4 without damaging it. If it's the whole 1200, i'm always down for a challenge :) Haha. But let me know guys. Thanks.

  8. So my friend wants to buy a system but is going MAD ASS cheap. I already told him that he'll regret it later on but he doesn't care. So I'm just trying to help him out a little. I told him to get 2 12 hifonics hfi12d4 for like 29$ each, but what's a good amp to run for those 2 subs? There like 600-300 RMS I think or something, so the amp shouldn't be to expensive. I told him he could prob get those 2 subs with a amp that pushes out like 300-400 watts per sub for under 100-150$. Any suggestions?

And I know he's stupid for even expecting anything good coming out this system, but I'll guess he'll learn the hard way. Any amps for 2 12 hifonics hfi12d4 on the cheap side would be a great. Shit, even a walmart amp can do the job.
